• Professionalism – A solid background in project work and the ability to work autonomously, take initiative and be proactive. Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines, and achieving results.
• Communication – Strong analytical and communication (spoken, written, presentational) skills, including ability to summarize and clearly present complex issues, as well as to support a fruitful dialogue with the Government and Civil society, conducive to implementing the program. He/She has demonstrated skills in communicating with people from different backgrounds.
• 5 years experience in awareness raising, capacity building, dispute resolution, and working experience with the government legal aid committee, Union Parishad, Upazila, and District Administration. 
• Familiar with donor programs
• Familiar with community awareness and legal support
• Experience in networking and community mobilization
• Knowledge and experience in program planning, activities
• Knowledge and experience in reporting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in Bangla and English
• Ability to understand and communicate with the rural community people
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office specially word
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and deliver on time
• Proven ability to work as a team member
• Proven commitment to gender equality, child rights/safeguarding, and other human rights issues
• Motorcycle driving skill with knowledge of safety measures and valid license. 
• Age may be relaxed for highly deserving candidates.

RDRS Bangladesh is inviting application for the position of Project officer under USAID Ain Shohayota Activity Project - Democracy International. This position will be based in Rangpur.

A. Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and liaise with DLAC, UZLAC and UPLAC;

• Coordinate and conduct training, orientation, and meetings with UZLAC and UPLAC;

• Keep close collaboration with DLAC, UZLAC and UPLAC;

• Take and explore advocacy initiatives with all potential stakeholders to motivate them to promote Government Legal Aid Services;

• Conduct and facilitate meetings, public hearings, school and community events;

• Influence UPLAC, and UZLAC members to regularize meetings and services;

• Coordinate and provide support to the Project Manager (ASA) for overall project implementation;

• Ensure appropriate documentation and information flow;

• Organize events/orientations/meetings/ sensitization sessions;

• Attend to additional tasks assigned by management.

B. Tasks

• Maintain close relations, network, and coalition with the government, NGOs, and development partners;

• Ensure a polite and successful interface with all partner organizations, the Project Manager, Finance Officer, and other stakeholders

• Monitor the ongoing activities and take necessary corrective measures.

• Ensure appropriate documentation and information flow among all outcomes.

• Attend different meetings, sessions, and other events.

Gender Sensibility- Acquire knowledge of Gender and organizational Gender Policy and act accordingly

Child Protection Policy -Acquire knowledge of Child Development and organizational Child Protection /Safeguarding Policy and act accordingly

HIV AIDS, COVID-19 Awareness - Acquire knowledge on HIV / AIDS, and COVID-19 and disseminate information to program participants and community for awareness raising and prevention. Show positive attitude towards people living with HIV / AIDS, and COVID-19 maintaining safety measures.

Teamwork– Strong ability to work in a team and be supportive of others’ efforts and work
