Educational Requirements:
∎ Required: Bachelor's degree in Social Science or any other field required
∎ Preferred: Masters in Psychology or Sociology including Mental health background

Job Context:
∎ Lepra is a UK- based international charity organization, working in Bangladesh since 2000, is going to implement Mind to Heart(M2H) project in Bogura district and UPLIFT project in Lalmonirhat district. To ensure the quality implementation of these two projects, Lepra Bangladesh intends to recruit two Project Officers from qualified candidates of Bangladeshi nationals.
∎ Reporting Supervisor: Project Manager
∎ Contact Duration: 1 year with possible extension and first 3 months probationary period

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent is required to accomplish all tasks assigned by supervisors including maintain files and documents in a systematic manner. Provide timely support to Project Manager and other team members of programs for meetings/workshops/training and target vs achievement according to project requirements. S/he has to collect, compile and summarize the information of all the project outputs and prepare quality report.
∎ Prepare detail implementation plan (DIP) following yearly project budget in consultation with Program Manager by specifying the activities and timelines.
∎ Lead the project team to increase awareness and capacity of PABL, their caregivers and their communities on mental wellbeing support strategies, including peer support and counselling
∎ Lead the project team for formation of CBGs (Community base Organization) according to study design (Arm A and Arm B) and ensure all essential care packages they are entitled
∎ Oversee the activities of HSWA (Health and Social welfare Assistant), counselor and mental motivators (MM)with special focus on mental health issues.
∎ He/she will be working for technical and networking capacity of the Bogura Federation (Center of Holistic Care) to manage and refer complicated cases to specialized mental health and social services.
∎ Organize and facilitate monthly staff meeting, prepare monthly plan, reviewing last month accomplishments and ensure monthly action plan of all project staffs
∎ Check and verify quarterly fund requisition, develop the report, regular financial report and ensure timely submission; engage monthly and quarterly budget versus expenditure progress
∎ Review monthly target, progress and quality achievement as per DIP and take necessary action to achieve the target
∎ Plan, organize, participate and facilitate various workshops, trainings, meetings and surveys (baseline or endline) according to project proposal
∎ Responsible for preparing quarterly report for donor, participate in all type of survey activities and prepare quality event report

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years of field experience in working with disability, preferred people affected by leprosy or lymphatic filariasis.
∎ The candidate must have knowledge on mental health issues and the skills of project management, preparing report, team integrity, communication skill and good typing skill in English and Bengali using MS word, Excel and Powerpoint.
∎ Competencies:
∎ Highly self-motivated with demonstrated ability to be proactive.
∎ Experience working with teams to achieve results as well as ability to work independently, take initiative, and use good judgment.
∎ Demonstrated competence in strategic management, to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.
∎ Tact and ability to work effectively with others at all levels, both internally and externally.

Salary: Negotiable
