Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in social science disciplines from any reputed university
∎ Demonstrated experience and capacity as Project Manager/ Officer/ Coordinator for at least 3-5 years in reputed development NGOs/ INGOs
∎ Good understanding on labor migration, Trafficking in Person, child marriage, gender and women empowerment issues
∎ Excellent working experiences with government structures and key stakeholders at national and district level and proven experience in advocacy
∎ Excellent experience to lead a diversified team and excellent experience of the rights-based approach and pursuing rights for a disadvantaged group
∎ Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

OKUP promotes and protects human rights, labour rights, justice and dignity of all migrant workers irrespective of gender, across borders, through putting migrants` perspectives at the center of migration discourse at all levels through unity and empowerment of migrant workers themselves.

∎ Job Description - Project Manager
∎ Job Title : Project Manager (one position)
∎ Project/Program : OKUP
∎ Job Location : Dhaka (with frequent field visit)
∎ Probation Period : 3 months
∎ Job Type : Contractual - Initially for One Year. (Extendable based on performance and available fund)
∎ Reported to : OKUP Management

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Specific roles and responsibilities are as follows:
∎ Coordinate and complete all the activities including field operations in line with OKUP and partners guideline and policies,
∎ Plan, organize and ensure implementation of all activities (orientations, training, meeting and events) through providing necessary support and coaching to the team members and volunteers,
∎ Ensure regular monthly, quarterly and annual program report to the supervisor and partners. Capture case study, lesson learnt and contribute to OKUP's social media content development,
∎ Maintain regular communication with respective development partners and direct the project activities aligned with their work plan and guidance,
∎ Provide emergency support to the victim or survivors if and when needed, such as- Airport pick-up service, family reunification support, health support, legal support and life skill training etc,
∎ Maintain effective liaison/interaction with relevant local government institutions, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders of the project areas,
∎ Monitor and follow up all the activities of the project and guide the volunteers/forum members for smooth implementation of the project,
∎ Monitor MIS database in regular basis and produce necessary documents and reports,
∎ Establish effective working relationship, partnership with relevant government and non-government service provider organizations for adequate advocacy, referrals of the project target beneficiaries,
∎ Ensure very high standards in financial and logistics management to meet accountability and transparency,
∎ Coordinate the study on Access to Justice for the migrant workers
∎ Represent OKUP when and where necessary,
∎ Any other activity required and directed by the senior management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Desirable:
∎ Experience in working on labor migration, anti- human trafficking or modern slavery projects/programs.
∎ Experience in adaptive management
∎ Competencies:
∎ Self-motivated, proactive and target oriented
∎ Good report writing along with analytical skills
∎ Ability to work in a team and lead a team
∎ Willingness to work in a flexible schedule and travel project areas frequently
