Education:
    • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
    • Master of Science (MSc) in Public Health
  • MBBS with a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) is mandatory. Candidates with additional experience in global eye health interventions will have an advantage.

Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in public health projects implemented by national/international NGOs or UN bodies, including 3–4 years in managerial roles. Experience in eye health is highly desirable.

  • Proven expertise in program planning, implementation, budgeting, financial management, staff management, report writing, and monitoring & evaluation.

  • Strong management skills with the ability to provide strategic guidance, technical oversight, mentor staff, build effective teams, develop workplans, and manage budgets.

  • Excellent English communication and report-writing skills.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant software.

  • Experience working with government departments and delivering training to diverse audiences.

  • Female candidates will be preferred.

Country Program Overview:

Starting in 1978 by promoting and implementing Nutrition programs, today, Helen Keller Bangladesh is implementing program work in Dhaka and Sylhet through and with the government of Bangladesh, as well as national and international partners and NGOs, academic and research institutions, and the private sector. Since its beginning, Helen Keller Bangladesh has worked with over 150 local, international and government partners to establish Enhanced Homestead Food Production (HFP) programs benefiting over 4.5 million people. We are currently implementing programs to prevent blindness and Neglected Tropical Diseases alongside programs to improve nutrition and food security that integrate gender-sensitive approaches
