Job Context:
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985.
∎ CODEC is implementing different Development projects in the field of Education, Livelihood support, Environment, Legal Service, Humanitarian Field, Advocacy, Health & Nutrition etc. The aim of CODEC is to provide support and assistance to the disadvantaged coastal communities in their day-to-day struggle.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is going to implement The Blue Economy and Inclusive Development for Climate Justice (BID4CJ) project funded by OXFAM in Bagerhat and Cox`s Bazar. The BID4CJ aims to empower coastal communities to nurture healthy ecosystems and a climate-just economy in south-west and south-east Bangladesh through feminist climate movements, ecosystem restoration and ethical businesses development. CODEC invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Leading the management of overall activities of "Blue Economy and Inclusiveness Development for Climate Justice (BID4CJ)" project and ensure proper project cycle management to ensure achievement of objectives and delivery on time.
∎ Progress reporting for projects using information from various sources.
∎ Develop project annual development plan in consultation with donors and the community
∎ Ensuring Government compliance (i.e. FD-6, UNO Certificate) and other relevant administration documents
∎ Keeping senior management informed and update relevant staffs and donor (Oxfam).
∎ Oversight of financial management and compliance of the project.
∎ Promoting women and youth leadership for climate justice and natural resource rights.
∎ Engaging community in ecosystem management, restoration and other relevant project activities.
∎ Ensuring safe and inclusive project management
∎ Periodic review of risks and ensuring risk management actions.
∎ Prepare periodic, annual and other relevant reports.
∎ Working with Oxfam's Programme Quality and Knowledge Management Team for periodic programme quality review, monitoring-evaluation-learning, and partnership health check.
∎ Communicate to stakeholders at the local level from a justice and equity approach for ensuring implementation of the project activities.
∎ Developing and sustaining partnerships with different stakeholders including youth, activists, scientists, civil society organizations, business sectors and the government of Bangladesh, especially at the grassroots.
∎ Enabling team members through coaching, capacity building and mutual accountability.
∎ Matrix relationship management relevant staff members (approximate 5).
∎ Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience managing community led climate change, ecosystem management related projects and climate justice programmers having intensive understanding of relevant issues.
∎ Relevant experience of 8 years including budgeting, planning, programme cycle management, preferably in an NGO, out of which at least 3 years should be supervisory/managerial experience
∎ Proven programme and project management skills including planning, monitoring, evaluation, budgeting, proposal development and report preparation.
∎ Knowledge of gender, Feminist principle, Ecosystem and the livelihoods approaches.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communications skills and an ability to conduct face-to face and remote learning events.
∎ Team building, HR management skills.
∎ Strong Report writing skill both Bangla & English.
∎ Must have Computer knowledge (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, email, internet etc.)
∎ Strong in English and capable to write quality report in English is necessary.
∎ Strong ability in problem solving and decision-making.
∎ Skilled in documentation, facilitation, presentation & reporting.
∎ Willing to ride motorcycle in the field with valid driving license.
∎ Age - 35 - 50 Years. (age may be relaxed for experienced candidates)

Salary: Tk. 80000 (Monthly)
