Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc in Agriculture, Master’s degree is preferable
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of the project activities according with approved plan and budget
∎ Maintain high degree of financial integrity and accountability and ensure adherence to Friendship policies and procedures in program spending and budget monitoring
∎ Work with the relevant government agencies to ensure alignment with their priorities, as well as to reach out to Friendship Farmers Club(FFC)
∎ Manage and supervise the project activities, administrative, Procurement, inventory, logistic, and human research of staff members and ensure proper use and maintenance of all kinds of project materials and resources
∎ Build alliance and coordinate partnership with local agro-focused organizations with significant extension network to help with farmer mobilization
∎ Coordinate Farmer’s groups/association formation and their capacity building, need based assessment & follow-up to the farmer of crop productions
∎ Prepare training need assessment (TNA),
∎ Coordinate & facilitate the different training, workshop and seminars, organize field days, demonstration plot at different level, networking and linkages with NGOs, line agencies, private sectors, local government and relevant stakeholders
∎ Provide support to the Climate-resilient vegetable cultivation and both their marketing through an applied value chain approach
∎ Strengthening, promoting & supervise the project activities providing professional support and leadership to the team, monitor all activities and periodic evaluating of progress by lessons learn
∎ Solar-based irrigation system management
∎ Conduct monthly and quarterly meetings with local Government authorities and respective department
∎ Ensuring proper documentation and reporting
∎ Team management
∎ Any relevant task assigned by management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 35 years
∎ 3-5 years’ experience in agro-based development organization and management of agriculture-focused projects
∎ Knowledge of agronomic principles and practices, including crops, soils, and nutrients.
∎ Work experience at Char and Coastal Islands is preferable
