• Proven track record in managing specialized vessel projects, procurement pipelines, and vendor alignment.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (both written and verbal) for interacting with international clients and foreign vendors.

• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in understanding technical drawings, class rules, and marine engineering specifications.

Job Context

A. K. Sobhan Traders is seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and highly skilled Project Manager to lead and execute our high-profile marine engineering and shipbuilding projects (including Research Vessels, Tugboats, and specialized watercraft). The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, end-to-end project execution, procurement management, and stakeholder communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution: Formulate and implement comprehensive strategic plans for the flawless execution of shipbuilding and marine projects from inception to delivery.

• Procurement & Supply Chain: Oversee critical material procurement, coordinate with both local and foreign vendors/OEMs, and manage high-value technical sourcing.

• Tender & Bidding: Manage tender documentation, preparation of technical/financial proposals, and compliance frameworks for government and defense maritime projects.

• Stakeholder & Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, authorities, and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and technical alignment.

• Vendor Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international maritime suppliers, components manufacturers, and service providers.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate cross-functional engineering teams, technical personnel, and shipyard operations to maintain project timelines.
