Experience :
At least 3 years of relevant field experience, preferably in child protection, education, ECD, community development or related programmes.
Experience working directly with communities and vulnerable children/families.
Experience facilitating community meetings, training or group sessions.
Understanding of child safeguarding and referral mechanisms.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Good Bangla communication skills and basic working knowledge of English.
Willingness to travel regularly within the project area.
At least two (2) years of experience to drive Motorcycle and have valid motorcycle driving license.
Job Context:
Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is going to implement a project named ‘Strengthening Community-Based Child Protection Systems in Industrial Communities (SCCPS) at Bhaterchar and Baluakandi in Munshigonj District Bangladesh .The project will be implemented by the support of ‘Tdh Netherland’ and funded by LC Support Foundation . The project focuses on strengthening community-based child protection systems, improving awareness, establishing community structures, and enhancing referral and coordination mechanisms to prevent and respond to child labour and other child protection issues. BTS is going to recruit a ‘Project Field Officer ’ for the mentioned project and the position’s desk office at Munshigonj District.
Project Name: Strengthening Community-Based Child Protection Systems in Industrial Communities (SCCPS) at Bhaterchar and Baluakandi in Munshigonj District Bangladesh .
Tenure of Services Contract:
3 (Three) Months probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on the performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till the project’s lifetime.

Job Location: Munshigonj District
Job Purpose:
The Project Field Officer will be responsible for day-to-day field implementation, community mobilisation, beneficiary engagement, activity facilitation and monitoring under the SCCPS programme.
The position will work directly with children, adolescents, parents, caregivers, ECD staff, community structures, schools, employers and local stakeholders to ensure that programme activities are implemented safely, inclusively and according to the approved workplan.
Job Description / Responsibilities:
Community Mobilisation and Engagement:
Conduct regular community outreach and mobilisation.
Build relationships with parents, caregivers, children, adolescents, community leaders and other stakeholders.
Organise community meetings, consultations and awareness activities.
Support inclusive participation of girls, boys, children with disabilities, migrant families and other vulnerable groups.
Establish and maintain feedback and accountability mechanisms.
Support community stakeholders to identify child protection concerns and available services.
Beneficiary Identification and Engagement:
Support household and community mapping during the inception phase.
Identify potential beneficiaries in coordination with DBPL/SBPL, Community Child Protection Forums, schools, parents and community leaders.
Support identification of DBPL/SBPL worker families and vulnerable households in surrounding communities.
Maintain accurate beneficiary records.
Support application of agreed beneficiary selection criteria.
Ensure that participation remains voluntary and that parents/caregivers receive clear information about the programme.
ECD Safe Spaces:
Support the establishment and operational readiness of five ECD Safe Spaces.
Assist with location preparation, equipment, learning materials and logistical arrangements.
Support recruitment and onboarding of ECD facilitators and volunteers.
Coordinate daily communication with ECD facilitators and volunteers.
Support parent orientation and enrolment.
Monitor attendance and participation.
Support safe child drop-off, handover and authorised caregiver arrangements.
Monitor ECD activities and identify operational or safeguarding concerns.
Support implementation of child-friendly participation approaches in the ECD Safe Spaces.
Child Rights Clubs and Youth Forum:
Support establishment and functioning of Child Rights Clubs and the Community Child Protection Youth Forum.
Facilitate or support regular meetings and learning activities.
Support children and adolescents to participate in awareness campaigns and community initiatives.
Promote children’s understanding of child rights, safeguarding, online safety and available support.
Support safe reporting and referral of child protection concerns.
Parent and Community Activities:
Support implementation of positive parenting training.
Support establishment and functioning of Parent Support Groups.
Assist with community dialogue sessions.
Support school-community engagement activities.
Support employer engagement activities.
Maintain participant attendance and activity records.
Child Protection and Referral:
Support community stakeholders to identify child protection concerns.
Maintain awareness of available referral services and pathways.
Facilitate safe referrals in accordance with approved procedures.
Follow up with relevant service providers as directed and within safeguarding protocols.
Immediately report safeguarding concerns through established BTS/TdH NL procedures.
Ensure confidentiality and Do No Harm principles in all field activities.
Monitoring and Documentation:
Collect and maintain accurate activity and participant data.
Support routine monitoring against project indicators and targets.
Document field activities, attendance, referrals and community feedback.
Support data collection for baseline, monitoring and endline processes.
Prepare regular field updates for the Project Area Coordinator.
Document stories of change, lessons learned and good practices, ensuring appropriate consent and safeguarding.
Coordination and Logistics:
Support coordination with schools, Union Parishads, community structures and service providers.
Assist in organising meetings, training and workshops.
Support logistical preparation for project activities.
Coordinate with ECD facilitators, volunteers and community representatives.
Ensure project activities are conducted according to agreed schedules and procedures.
Finance and Administrative:
Maintain compliance, rules and regulations (financial and administrative) of the development partner organization and BTS,
Support to Finance and Admin section in financial and logistics management.
Support to Finance and Admin section in financial visit/audit.
Support to all financial and accounts related documentation.
Risk Management & Compliance: The Project Field Officer support to ensures ethical and responsible practices in data collection, storage, and sharing. He or she assist to identifies risks related to project implementation, provides recommendations for mitigation, and develops strategies to address potential challenges. The role emphasizes proactive risk assessment, compliance with organizational and donor standards, and safeguarding the interests of children and communities throughout project activities.
Others: Any other duties that may be assigned by the management of organization.
Salary and other benefits:
Gross: Taka 48,556.00 (Tk. Forty Eight Thousand FiveHundred Fifty Six ) Per Month
2 days weekend
Bonus (One month equivalent salary)
After job confirmation 5% salary deduction from Basic salary for depositing BTS Staff welfare fund.
Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per ‘Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy’ of Breaking the Silence.
