Job Context:
∎ JAGO NARI is working in the development sector since 1998 in the most climate vulnerable area of Barguna. Our proposed project is focusing to contribute in the community on reducing VAWG and ensuring their rights, ln the southern Costal part of Bangladesh most of the female members of missing fisher folk family`s, ethnic "RAKHAIN" communities, person with disabilities. In Every year lot of fisherman is missing to deep sea and migrated to urban area for alternative livelihood. JAGO NARI is going to implement a project titled "Inclusive Safe Space for Vulnerable and Ethnic Women`s of Southern Coastal areas of Bangladesh - SAFE SPAC" funded by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF). The project will be implemented at 3 unions of Taltoli Upazila at Barguna District.
∎ JAGO NARI is going to implement Inclusive Safe Space for Vulnerable and Ethnic Women`s of Southern Coastal areas of Bangladesh - SAFE SPAC Project, Supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) at three Unions of Taltoli, Upazila.
∎ JAGO NARI is seeking application from the appropriate and qualified candidate who has the nationality of Bangladesh and has willingness to work community level.
∎ Job Nature: Full-time and spend 80 - 90% time at field level
∎ Job Location: Taltoli Upazila at Barguna District.
∎ Job duration: 2 Years.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Formation of various groups in the community;
∎ Selecting beneficiaries through consultation with respective community Member;
∎ Conducting meeting, orientation and training at community level;
∎ Providing all kinds of technical support to the respective beneficiaries as per their requirement.
∎ Support in organizing capacity building training for community, Management Committee and others sub committees at community level.
∎ Support for on time and effective manner (a) Meeting with local government official at union level; (b) Meeting with committee members; (c) All other program meeting and activities at Union level/ community level.
∎ Maintain weekly and monthly implementation plan.
∎ Jointly work with the community leader and local government official for smooth implementation of project activities.
∎ Implement the activities as per Project Activity Plan (PIP), such as: Participation in training, Facilitation training for service providers;
∎ Participate in different community/Union level program;
∎ Assist to Finance & Logistic Officer and Project Coordinator in identification and distribution of Logistic support to different project activities.
∎ Keeping coordination with all service providers.
∎ Join in monthly staff meeting at district level on call
∎ Assist in supply and use of Materials for youth groups.
∎ Keeping proper process documentation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ At least 3 year(s) professional experience in VAWG related activities at the community level;
∎ Qualification, competencies & skill required:
∎ Should have experience in community mobilization, communication, liaison and collaborating with the LGIs/GO/NGO officials; report preparation at the different stage of the project;
∎ Good communication skills in English and Bengali;
∎ Willing to stay at Union level.
∎ Good understanding about rural community, its dynamics, power structure and development issues; sensitive to the needs and conditions of women and children.
Salary: Tk. 14000 (Monthly)
