Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key area-1: Project Management and Coordination:
∎ In close collaboration with SCI SHIKHON team, PC will play a lead role in developing Activity Plan and Detailed Implementation Plan for each year and update quarterly.
∎ Ensure that program activities are implemented according to DIP, established project principles with adequate community participation.
∎ Conduct monthly coordination meeting at which progress is reviewed and assessed by the team.
∎ Provide adequate direction and support to the staff to ensure better coordination and implementation. Provide support in managing resources overseeing budgets
∎ Arrange events as per project requirements.
∎ Key area-2: Human Resources Management:
∎ Build and nurture effective teamwork in the field, that is conducive to staff retention.
∎ Assist in staff recruitment process.
∎ Ensure all field level staffs and volunteers comprehend and effectively pursue the goal, objectives and results of the project.
∎ Identify and effectively resolve staff issues to ensure less negative impact on project/beneficiaries.
∎ Ensure supervision, conduct and oversee annual staff performance appraisal for all project staff.
∎ Provide on the job training, coaching, counselling and mentoring to the staff as appropriate.
∎ Attend different capacity building activities, trainings and workshops.
∎ Key area-3: Technical Assistance and Capacity Building
∎ Provide technical assistance in areas of primary education, parental education, monitoring, and reporting.
∎ Disseminate new information, lessons learnt, government’s new policies and programs etc. to staff/ the appropriate forums when needed.
∎ Joint planning with SCI team for capacity building of staff and arrange training on monitoring, supervision, report writing, photography.
∎ Key area-4: Administration and Finance:
∎ Coordinate review of budget in line with SC, JCF rules and guidelines and report following guidelines.
∎ Ensure budget forecasting and expenditure trend analysis.
∎ Monitor expenditures (monthly, quarterly) and take measures where variances are high.
∎ Support procurement of regular items and other day to day usable materials for FO.
∎ Coordinate with Administration to procure bulk items as and when required
∎ Managing staff time and support periodical audit.
∎ Key Area 5: Representation, Communication & Reporting:
∎ Develop periodical narrative reports with matrix for SC and other program reports as needed and ensure that these reports are properly reviewed and disseminated.
∎ Maintain liaison with GoB, GPS, NGO officials, local elite and other key formal and informal leaders in the area and utilize the best services/facilities.
∎ Attend monthly coordination meeting in Upazila and district level and share project update regularly.
∎ Coordinate visits by central team, donor, government officials and other visitors.
∎ Ensure media coverage on project activities, events, successes etc.
∎ Take photographs and share regularly with SCI team.
∎ Prepare Case stories regularly and share with SHIKHON SCI team.
∎ Key Area 6: Supervision, Monitoring and Research:
∎ Ensure frequent onsite program visit, monitor program activities and provide continuous support to the fields.
∎ Monitor program components at field along with training, workshop, meetings at different level and provide feedbacks.
∎ Organize regular review events for sharing information based on data collection and analysis.
∎ Assist in need-based research/study/survey or as stated in project proposal.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ 7 years (at least 3 years in development program management, education preferred) Knowledge of implementation of program management and coordination and the education situation in Bangladesh including constraints and issues in the primary education is required.
∎ Proven experiences in team management and excellent trouble shooting capability.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bangla and English.
∎ Basic computer skills on MS-Office.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 44000 (Monthly)
