Job Context:
∎ Job Summary: Prottyashi, A social development organization has been serving the disadvantaged people of Bangladesh since 1983 and currently is going to implement project in Koyra sub-district under Khulna District to improve resilience of the disaster affected people through improved WASH facilities. Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled- Project Coordinator cum Engineer for the "Delivering improved WASH services to strengthen climate resilience in Bangladesh " Project.
∎ Contract Duration: 1st December 2023 to 30th November 2024
∎ Reporting: Project Coordinator cum Engineer will report to Director (Program). S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization`s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare design and construction specifications for WASH infrastructure in line with the WASH sector guidelines in humanitarian response.
∎ Prepare detailed designs, calculations, and scope of works, specifications, bills of quantities and drawings for contract work packages.
∎ Guide the contractors to ensure all construction work according to design, plan and specification besides assists the contractors in resolving the technical issues.
∎ Monitor and supervise infrastructure repair, replacement activities to ensure public health and safety assured.
∎ Responsible for budget tracking and finance and procurement of WASH project.
∎ Monitor regularly construction activities for safe work practices.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
∎ Monitor project activities through regular visit in the sites to ensure quality of the project deliverables and mobilize the field staffs.
∎ Maintain liaison with the relevant focal points of Prottyashi for successfully implementation of the project activities.
∎ Maintain communication and Liaison with different stakeholders such as DPHE, Upazila Parishad, Upazila Women and Child Affairs and other govt. and non-govt. organizations working in the Upazila.
∎ Prepare regular progress reports with the cooperation of other project staffs and submit to the Prottyashi management.
∎ Assist Finance focal to prepare monthly financial report through matching activities implemented.
∎ Collect field level evidence of project activities through photographs and send it to the central monitoring team of Prottyashi.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 03 years of professional experience in national or international organizations in managing similar projects.
∎ Should have relevant experience in working in southern part of Bangladesh.
∎ Local candidates will get preference and are highly encouraged to apply.
Salary:
∎ Per month Gross Salary BDT 56,916 + PF contribution by project BDT 3084+ Bonus BDT 5000 = BDT 65,000/-
