Job Context:
∎ Bangladesh Association for Social Advancement (BASA) a national level Non Government Organization (NGO) is started to implement a project titled "Economic Enhancement through Strengthening Beef and Goat Value Chain (BD2015)" at Mirzapur Upazila under Tangail District with the support of Heifer International Bangladesh. We are looking for suitable, qualified and competent candidates to fill up the position mentioned below:
∎ Job Location : Mirzapur upazilla under Tangail District
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall administration and management of the project ( Planning and in Monitoring, backstopping, coordination)
∎ Coordinate in project implementation planning, budget preparation and revision.
∎ Project information management and reporting to Project partner office and Heifer Country office.
∎ Networking with relevant stakeholders to ensure technical support to livestock and agriculture including marketing, communication of progress and success stories through various media.
∎ Follow up and support to SHG fund information and resource mobilization/leveraging at local level through different innovative approaches.
∎ Use Heifer VBHCD model as a powerful tool for community development in project funded by Heifer and others.
∎ Facilitate in PMC planning and PSRP follow up quarterly.
∎ Develop project information data base with regular update.
∎ Staff capacity assessment and development through training, coaching and mentoring and exposure visit.
∎ Coordinate with CFs in training conduction, exposure visit and home visit and SHG fund utilization through various IGAs.
∎ Follow up SHGs, CF, Community Agro-Veterinary Entrepreneur (CAVE) and Project Management Committee (PMC) on a regular basis.
∎ Coordinate and communicate with local Value Chain actors and organize meetings.
∎ Coordinate with finance person on financial record keeping and reporting on a regular basis to CP office.
∎ Facilitate in the process of market study, action research and field visit by Heifer Bangladesh and Project partners.
∎ Facilitate in the formation of Cooperative/federations, business hubs and milk collection centers.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years working experience in NGOs/development sector especially in the Char context / Food security/ Poverty reduction/ Small Farmers and Ultra Poor projects.
∎ At least 3 years of experience in community development project(s).
∎ High potential for proven community facilitation skills and relevant background.
∎ Good Communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Good Computer skills (MS Office and internet).
∎ Can adapt to local conditions (Culture, language, geography).
∎ Willing to work and committed to communities and poor families.
∎ Creative and humble (Can achieve equal status in the minds of project participants).
∎ Physically fit and Positive 'can do' attitude.
∎ Good Coordination and leadership skills
∎ Motor Cycle Driving: Able to drive motor Cycle at remote are/Char with valid driving license
Salary: Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
