Educational Requirements:
∎ The incumbent should have B.Sc. in Engineering (Civil/ Environmental) degree or Masters in any discipline from any Public or Private University.
Job Context:
∎ BASA Foundation is looking for deserving candidates to fill in the following position for a WASH4 Urban Poor project to be implemented in Sakhipur Municipality under Tangail district supported by WaterAid.
∎ Job location: Sakhipur Municipality area, Tangail, Bangladesh
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide direct supervision of the implementation of project activities to ensure that deadlines are met, and activities produce quality outputs as per BASA and donor's operational/implementation guideline.
∎ Responsible for fund management, fund disbursement, follow-up and monitoring of expenditure with project activities and meet with internal and external audit/ monitoring visitors' team.
∎ Supervise administrative functions of co-compost plant operation in accordance with rules and procedures of the organization and donor's requirement.
∎ Regularly coordinate project activities with local government line departments.
∎ Prepare work plan, annual mPMIS plan, waste collection plan, compost production and sales plan.
∎ Manage and oversee day-to-day management, development and training, appraisals of the project team members
∎ Ensure quality report on progress in different intervals. For BASA and donors.
∎ Ensure effective cooperation with municipality, DAE & Health and education department and other stakeholders.
∎ Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the Executive Director as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Technical and practical competence in WASH including experience in waste management, hygiene promotion programs and related activities.
∎ Excellent knowledge of WASH project management with at least 5 to 8 years of experience in NGOs/development sector.
∎ Excellent knowledge and use of the internet, Microsoft packages and other skills.
∎ Excellent written and oral English language skills
∎ Structured well organized and self-driven
∎ Excellent communication cooperation and interpersonal skills
∎ Person of good character and integrity, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as coordinator of a team.
Salary: Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Travel, mobile allowance and others as per project budget.
