∎ AAR Japan is looking for a Project Assistant who will be responsible for the implementation of Water, Sanitation & Hygiene activities in cooperation with National NGO.
∎ Period: Duration of the initial contract will be for three (3) months. On mutual agreement, after three months, the position shall be on One (1) year Contractual arrangement (including Probation period) with the possibility of extension which will be subject to satisfactory performance of the contracted applicant.
∎ Report to: Project Officer, Programme Coordinator, Country Director.

∎ Starting Date: September, 2019

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Visiting regularly WASH project sites and report on WASH gaps and implementation to supervisors.
∎ Preparing of report and official documents as necessary.
∎ Monitoring repairs and maintenance activities of the WASH facilities and reporting to supervisors.
∎ Taking part in drafting of project design and project proposal under the supervision of supervisor.
∎ Liaising with partner organization for the smooth implementation of the project.
∎ Undertaking other relevant duties as required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Essential Requirements
∎ At least 2 years of relevant experience in the field of WASH at national or international organization with local language will get preference.
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla
∎ Good operational knowledge of Microsoft Office in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
∎ Strong motivation to be a part of a humanitarian organization.
∎ Analytical/Communication/inter-personal skills
∎ Desirable Requirements
∎ Good knowledge and understanding of WASH standards for emergencies and refugee camps including SPHERE (e-SPHERE) and UNHCR Emergency Handbook technical guidelines and standards.
∎ Experience in working with UN or international donor supported programmers would be an advantage
∎ Knowledge of Chittagonian and/or Rohingya language.
∎ Ability to train and educate other people.
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla.

Salary:
∎ This position is under the salary scale for national staff members.
