Educational Requirements:
∎ Completion of Bachelor of Laws (Masters of Laws will get preference)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with the Inclusive Citizenship (IC) team
∎ Analyze law and policy developments in Bangladesh that may impact the project's intervention and provide recommendations for strategic responses.
∎ Review, draft, and manage contracts, agreements, MOUs, and other legal documents.
∎ Engage in legal advocacy efforts to promote the project's objectives, including collaborating with government agencies, partners, and stakeholders.
∎ Assist to prepared different training manual, flip chart content and others educational materials for Friendship Community Paralegals.
∎ Contribute to the growth and enhancement of Friendship Community paralegals through collaboration with the legal team, providing guidance and support.
∎ Collaborate with both the Head Office and Field Office to address community legal matters and provide support to ensure 'access to justice' and 'legal aid' programs.
∎ Involvement in legal translation work.
∎ Keep in touch with various Courts, NGOs, and other national and international organizations that deal and handle matters of law, justice and governance.
∎ Maintain different written record of staff counsel, instruction and action.
∎ Travel to regional courts and remote communities, as and when required, to provide legal advice and representation.
∎ Prepare regular reports on paralegal activities and project intervention.
∎ Any other relevant duties as required or delegated.
∎ Ensure legal empowerment through legal movement in marginalized communities
∎ Conduct regular outreach programs to raise legal awareness in marginalized communities.
∎ Prepared educational materials on relevant topics for Friendship Community Paralegals
∎ Assist to prepare different manual for Friendship Community Paralegals
∎ Support to organize the training session for the local mediators from the community to handle disputes effectively
∎ Ensure that important legal documents are properly executed and filed.
∎ Collaborate with local and national authorities to address systemic legal issues.
∎ Regular monitoring on-going cases
∎ Promote alternative dispute resolution methods like arbitration and negotiation.
∎ Train community members in Traditional Salish techniques to resolve conflicts amicably as
∎ Maintain a comprehensive database of legal cases in the area.
∎ Analysis Friendship Community Paralegals monthly report
∎ Maintain Communication with DLAC, SCLAC and NLASO
∎ Maintaining good coordination/collaboration with other partners and stakeholders Ensuring the safety and security of project and office equipment/materials and documents.
∎ Following the organizational Code of Ethics and policies.
∎ Handling any other responsibilities as requested by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 35 years
∎ Applicants should be highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
∎ Very comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Bangla composing skills, internet navigation, etc.).
∎ Demonstrated interest in judicial reform, access to justice, and legal aid services for the poor.
∎ Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to achieve complex results under strict deadlines.
∎ Demonstrated commitment to ethics, transparency, and accountability in program implementation.
∎ Excellent spoken and written English and Bangla.
