Educational Requirements:
∎ Applicant, within the age limit of 43, must have a Masters or equivalent degree preferably with Honors in any of the following subjects: Economics, Development Studies, Geography and Environment, Climate Change, Governance and Public Policy, Sociology, Public Administration, Law, and Statistics;
∎ Candidate with 3rd Division or CGPA less than 2.5 on a scale of 4 or 3 on a scale of 5 at any level of their education need not apply.

∎ At least 6 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct independent research on issues related to environment and climate finance governance, particularly various aspects of institutional governance and corruption risks in climate finance mechanism that links to both national and global actors;
∎ Plan and design the incumbent’s own research agenda and assist in planning, designing and implementing the planned activities specific to climate finance governance;
∎ Design as well as updating innovative and effective research design and both qualitative and quantitative data collection tools to capture different dimensions of climate finance e.g. adaptation, mitigation, REDD+ mechanism;
∎ Perform data analysis of key problem areas to assist in root cause analysis and undertake analysis of quantitative and qualitative data;
∎ Audit data on a regular basis to ensure data integrity and quality;
∎ Assist with ongoing data architecture processes and governance. Lead the implementation of field level data collections process including proving training as well as deploying enumerators, intense monitoring;
∎ Writing research reports, policy briefs, position papers ensuring global standards and disseminating of research findings through presentations and applying other online-media;
∎ Lead to carry out evidence-based policy advocacy on environmental governance and climate finance integrity;
∎ Design as well as provide training to build capacity of citizens at the local level especially youth to monitor the governance risks in climate funds mechanism at local level;
∎ Assist in developing and implementing the program/project operation plan, budget, advocacy plan of the project;
∎ Assist in the preparation of data and programme implementation reports, training materials, programme presentations, publications, app feature development and other communication materials;
∎ Train staff as necessary on data operational activities.
∎ Actively participate at every stage of the project cycle;
∎ Represent TIB in meetings with external stakeholders including donors;
∎ Discharge any other duties assigned by the authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 43 years
∎ Minimum six (06) years of experience in research with good command of applying both qualitative and quantitative research tools;
∎ Experience in working on climate finance governance shall be an advantage;
∎ Good command over data management and analysis by using computer software especially GIS, Python/R, STATA;
∎ Ability to assist in the implementation, testing, and validation of data and software systems;
∎ Should be able to undertake data reconciliations to identify data anomalies;
∎ Ability to extract, import, and export data in various database applications is required;
∎ Excellent communication (oral and writing) skills in both English and Bengali; and
∎ Must be comfortable in working with people of diverse age-groups and various social, economic and professional identities.
Salary:
∎ Gross initial salary is Tk. 104,419.00 per month plus other benefits as per relevant rules of TIB. Income tax is payable by TIB staff, deductible at source. Other benefits for TIB staff are: annual performance-based increment, cost of living adjustment, contributory provident fund, gratuity, festival allowance and insurance.
