Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Law/ Economics/ Sociology/ Development Studies or any other relevant field from any recognised university/ institution

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide overall strategic and technical leadership in the design, development, planning, budgeting, and implementation of the programme strategy
∎ Lead programme integration, creating a one programme approach and team culture for sharper impact
∎ Strengthen the advocacy work of the programme to bring policy level change in the area of human rights
∎ Working closely with the programme funding manager and BRAC central resource mobilisation unit, identify opportunities for funding to ensure the financial sustainability of the programme
∎ Ensuring periodic engagement with BRAC affiliates (BRAC USA and BRAC UK) in programming through meeting affiliates' needs in donor reporting, marketing, involvement in programme strategy/ proposal development and making use of affiliate knowledge and subject expertise
∎ Building and developing an approach to programme quality, knowledge production and dissemination
∎ Developing learning and knowledge management practices and encourage innovation across the programme
∎ Leading, embedding and using monitoring, evaluation and learning work, in close collaboration with the BRAC monitoring department
∎ Developing AOP and managing grants
∎ Manage the programme team to deliver on the programme strategy, providing leadership and guidance and ensuring that the management of the team is in line with BRAC's HR policies and procedures
∎ Ensure that staff members are given opportunities for development and training, as discussed and agreed, and provide support to the capacity building planning for programme positions
∎ Ensure an efficient and relevant staffing structure and lead structural change processes when necessary
∎ Take a leadership role in multi-level meeting with the field and facilitate open channels of two-way communication
∎ Ensure intra-programme communication within different management level, especially between the staff at the field level and mid management at the HO level
∎ Build a high-performance culture in the programmes team
∎ Safeguarding responsibilities:
∎ Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure
∎ Establish a safeguarding culture across all level of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 8 years' experience in development/ human rights and justice sector preferably in legal/ advocacy/ human rights/ gender rights, where minimum of 4 years programme management experience is a prerequisite.
∎ Commitment to an understanding of BRAC core values and principles
∎ Effective programme and people management skills with strong competencies in teamwork and partnership
∎ Sound understanding in writing progress report, annual report, grants and proposals and, in developing, monitoring and analysing log frame, Annual Operating Plans, and M&E systems
∎ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
∎ Proven skills in dealing with national/ international stakeholders, donors and partners
