Job Context:
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is implementing Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Program, Cox’s Bazar with the support of DIFD.
∎ This position will be working in implementing mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) program with Rohingya and Host communities. This position will be working closely with Program Manager (MHPSS), Field supervisor (FSs), Community Facilitator (CFs) and Tele-counsellor (TCs); with overall guidance from Program Coordinator the position will be directly supervised by MHPSS Program Manager

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Improving the beneficiaries’ mental health wellbeing and psychosocial condition
∎ • Implementing psychosocial activities and providing psychological consultations on regular basis.
∎ • Ensure all work with clients is confidential and that ethical practices are observed.
∎ • Assess the beneficiaries’ psychological condition by using psychological tools to detect the vulnerable cases and ensure psychological follow up.
∎ • Actively participate in weekly supervision meetings.
∎ • Assist in development of referral networks between partners implementing GBV and implementation of referral pathways.
∎ • Support the Hygiene & Health promoters to identify beneficiaries with vulnerabilities and to properly refer them to the MH worker.
∎ • Conducting regular Awareness raising session with target communities within Health Facilities.
∎ • Supervise Women Friendly Space (WFS) facilitators.
∎ • Lead/Participate in the Tele-counselling team.
∎ • Regular capacity building of FSs and CFs in Mental Health related topics
∎ • Managing the activities of FSs CFs through regular follow-up
∎ 2. Trainings and meetings:
∎ • Participate in MHPSS related trainings
∎ • Facilitate training for Community Facilitator and Field supervisor on Mental Health related topics
∎ • Provide ongoing support (training or on the job training) to PSS counsellors including support for designing content of PSS activities
∎ • Participate in internal meetings, camp coordination, sector and working group meetings.
∎ 3. Documentation, Reports and project development:
∎ • Ensure that the MH Data Tool is accurately updated on a regular basis.
∎ • Document client data accurately in the intake forms and ensure they are under lock and key
∎ • Participate in the interpretation of the analysed data on trends
∎ • Producing timely progress reports, including both quantitative and qualitative information, on MHPSS activities, referrals and case studies
∎ • Submitting timely GVB, Sector reports and working group reports.
∎ • Participate in the preparation of accurate reports for all Psycho-social related activities
∎ • Submitting timely MHPSS data to Program Manager and MEAL Manager.
∎ • Being in charge of the MHPSS materials and making the liaise with the Supply Chain for the procurement of the needed activities items
∎ 4. Others:
∎ • Maintaining good socio-professional relationships with national and international partners
∎ • Performing his/her duties in flexible manner to ensure that beneficiaries are getting good quality services
∎ • Strictly respect confidentiality of data, property of beneficiaries and respect confidentiality regarding the content of clinical interviews, except when exchanging information with the medical team in charge and within a professional frame
∎ • Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergency situations in Bangladesh, when needed and any other task assigned by Supervisor
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 50 years

∎ Fluent in Bangla and basic English.
∎ Work as team player and has flexibility in his/her work

∎ Understanding of local cultural language

Salary:
∎ Tk. 44689 (Monthly)
∎ TK. Up to 44,689 .00 (Monthly) (fixed; taxes payable to be deducted)
