Job Context:
∎ Acid Survivors Foundation (ASF) is a centre of excellence with a vision of Bangladesh free from acid violence, where burn victims, especially women and children, live with dignity.
∎ It is an independent, non-government, non-profit organization, set up as a Trust and registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau of the Government of Bangladesh. It is the only specialized NGO in Bangladesh working to prevent acid and burn violence; empower survivors, especially women and children; and campaign for prevention and elimination of this violence. ASF works with an integrated approach, using a holistic (bio-psycho-social) multi-disciplinary approach backed by research, experience and evidence.
∎ ASF is looking for a qualified candidate for the following position.
∎ Based in Dhaka and more than 50% time will be required for field visit.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Notification and Referral referral linkage:
∎ 24 hours' hotline maintain
∎ Incident and burn violence related information collection
∎ Preserve notified case infornation through format
∎ Referral linkage with LAG partners and Partner Organization
∎ Inform to acid case monitoring cell
∎ Follow up with Acid Case Monitoring Cell, PHQ, IO, Local thana, PP, District legal Aid offices, PNGOs, and legal aid providers
∎ Communicate with victims and their relatives and extend required cooperation and support
∎ Incident database management:
∎ Prepared and regular updated individual case file
∎ Incident and legal related data input in MIS and regular update
∎ New case post in ASF's social media page and web site
∎ Case related data analysis, find out the legal gap, challenges and possible way of solution
∎ Legal advice to survivors and their families:
∎ Legal advice to victim and their relatives
∎ Discourage victims and relatives not to compromise
∎ Coordinate court appearance, where requires
∎ Report writing:
∎ Fact findings of the special burn violence cases;
∎ Fact finding report writing and post in ASF's web side
∎ To develop case story, lesson learned and challenges;
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Female Candidates are highly encouraged to apply
∎ Minimum 2-3 (years) work experience in the relevant field.NGO related experience will get preference.
∎ Assist in gap analysis, need assessment, concept note writing and project development work etc
∎ Prepare work plan weekly, monthly & implement accordingly.
∎ Prepare quarterly and periodical narrative reports required by Executive Director
∎ Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
∎ Language proficiency in English is essential.

Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary BDT 33,250/-
