Job Context:
∎ LEDARS is NGO Affairs Bureau affiliated NGO working in the southwest coastal region of Bangladesh since 1998. The southwest coastal region is one of the climate vulnerable area of the country and people are suffering so much. In this context, LEDARS is implementing various project including climate change, Climate Justice, environment conservation, gender, youth development, etc. LEDARS is going to hire a Program Manager to provide quality input of the program. It is the most senior level position and will be key person for program operation and fund raising for the organization. She/he will be fully responsible to ensure proper management of program, development new program and fund raising. Following are the major job requirements of this post.
∎ Job Location: Shyamnagar, Satkhira.
∎ Duration: Long term ongoing project.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical support to team members to smooth operation of program,
∎ Have knowledge of Project Cycle Management(PCM) and development PCM and monitoring frameworks,
∎ Experience in working on climate change, advocacy, gender, environment conservation, WASH and DRR project context,
∎ Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the program,
∎ Have knowledge on development of quality proposal, logical framework, concept note, expression of interest, etc.
∎ Experience to work in multi-dimensional program implementation,
∎ Have experience in writing and speaking in English,
∎ Have ability to write and edit project reports, success story, article, etc.
∎ Have skill to solve conflict in project management,
∎ Planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
∎ Ability to work in stress condition and workload,
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years' experience in senior level management of a reputed NGO.
∎ She/he should have working experience in participatory program planning, management, monitoring, evaluation and effectively use of PRA tools.
∎ Interested to travel in rural area and drive motor bike.
∎ Having valid driving license.
∎ Applicant who have experience in coastal area and climate change issue will get special priority.
∎ Good knowledge on computer operation including Office software and internet browsing,
∎ Have experience to use social media, email and browse website.
Salary:
∎ Monthly 50,400 taka in probationary period and 56,700-60,000 after confirmation (salary is negotiable for highly experienced candidate)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Yearly increment, festival bonus and provident funds.
