Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Social Science/Gender Studies/Anthropology/Law or other relevant discipline with emphasis on development.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 7 to 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare the detailed implementation plan and process and the detailed budget of the project in line with donor's requirement and CARE's programming principles.
∎ Provide strategic and tactical guidance to the project staff members (both at CARE and PNGO) to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the project.
∎ Ensure that implementation process/strategies and relevant policies/procedures are properly followed at every stage of the project implementation.
∎ Identify and address technical support-needs of the project team, working collaboratively with CARE Bangladesh Program Director, Technical/strategy teams and CARE International Counter parts.
∎ Develop timely budget forecasts, monitor budget utilization and manage the budget and other resources in line with the approved plan.
∎ Review progress in implementation of plan and budget, and make necessary revision based on operational, technical or strategic reasons.
∎ Review progress, constraints, challenges, scopes and opportunities and initiate necessary steps necessary for the successful implementation to achieve the objectives and outcomes of the project.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 7 to 8 years of management experience in project management preferably in the area of women /worker empowerment. Experience of work in readymade garment sector is preferred.
∎ Strong relationship building and networking capacity with media, civil society organizations and other key stakeholder particularly in the area of women empowerment and violence against women
∎ Proficient in creating issue specific linkages with various stakeholders involved with the issue
∎ Sound knowledge of the economic, political and social issues concerning gender relations, women's rights and workers rights in Bangladesh.
∎ Good knowledge on M&E systems that can feed information and data required for improving program quality and generating deeper impact;
∎ Good networking and liaison skills with counterparts, partners;
∎ Oversight of budget and other resources, able to manage multi-year grants ensuring donor compliance
∎ Strong in written and verbal English and Bangla communications.
∎ Analytical and report writing skills:
∎ Staff performance management skills, including team building; and
∎ Skilled in MS Office software.
