∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Proven experience on the department of Production and Sample making in the garment sector.
∎ Lead for efficiency increasing, and make line layout plan for best output by minimum manpower.
∎ Should have adequate knowledge on production worker management. Has proven experience on sample making.
∎ Supervise the sewing production worker.
∎ Good knowledge on Pattern making.
∎ Have experience working as Issue boy in the garment industry.
∎ Lead and train sewing worker to meet production target in time.
∎ Follow up daily production, line input, and WIP (Work in Progress).
∎ Understand machine tension, maintenance, and technical adjustment.
∎ Responsible for a sewing line and being under accountability.
∎ Wastage reduction & ensuring quality product (QA).
∎ Ensure all the machines are running according in order to achieve maximum production.
∎ Follow the given specifications and measurement during production.
∎ Keep good relationships with the QC team and respective GPQ.
∎ Willingness and ability to work in hardship environments.
∎ Excellent teamwork, and a proven track record of building trust within and empowering teams.
∎ Diplomacy, tact and negotiating skills are essential.
∎ Previous exposure to UN sector approach at field implementation level.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Bhasan Char camp opened a new chapter in the world for the support to refugees in Bangladesh. Bhasan Char is a new island of Bangladesh situated in the deep sea with distance of 28 nautical miles West from Patenga of Chattogram and 21 nautical miles South from Noakhali district. The area of the island is 26 Sq. Km. and within the embankment, the land area is about 7 Sq. Km. For the relocation of refugees from the Cox’s Bazar, the Govt. of Bangladesh established the Bhasan Char Camp in 2020. For up-scaling the livelihood and self-reliance opportunities for the refugees in Bhasan Char, with the support of UNHCR, NGO Forum is its skills and livelihoods services for the refugees living in Bhasan Char.The project has been started selecting 400 PoCs from 400 household based on a set criteria. The beneficiaries have been receiving hands on training on handy crafts, fabrics production, hand weaving textile production, embroidery, as per assessing their preliminary expertise. After the training, the beneficiaries are being supported by required sewing machine, hand loom, raw materials etc. They are being assigned home based regular production to achieve the specific target.
∎ Supervise day to day productions in the center & ensure the quality of the products as per requirement.
∎ Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to achieve the targeted production.
∎ Check the layout plan of the production house in order to achieve maximum production.
∎ Work closely with the production team for producing the final sample product as per customer requirements.
∎ Prepare wages sheet of production workers as per the monthly production.
∎ To Provide logistical support during productions.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the Project Management Unit.
