Experience:

• 5 to 7 years

• PhD in Biotechnology
• Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology

• PhD and Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Genetic Engineering or a related field.

• 5 to 7 years

• Minimum of 8 years in R&D within the biofertilizers, micronutrients and biopesticides sector, with a focus on organic and microbial products.·        
• Knowledge of global Biofertilizers & Biopesticides market trends and regulatory frameworks.      
• Strong knowledge of microbial fermentation, formulation processes, and bioproduct stabilization techniques.     
• Experience in testing and maintaining product shelf life and longevity.
• Experience in of granular, liquid, Lipolyze products formulation and maintaining its shelf life and longevity.       
• Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in experimental design and data analysis.      
• Ability to lead innovative projects that contribute to environmental sustainability. 

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Product Development Manager to lead our R&D initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the Biofertilizers & Biopesticides industry, particularly in developing innovative plant-based pest control agents, biofertilizers, and biopesticides.

This role involves formulating and refining products, ensuring their commercial viability, and maintaining their shelf life and longevity while adhering to sustainable practices.

• Oversee lab experiments and pilot-scale trials to validate and optimize product formulations, including powder and liquid formulations.

• Monitor the formulation and development of new biofertilizers and biopesticides, including Crop Specific pest control agents, organic fertilizers, and nitrogen-fixing products.

• Collect field sample and work on isolation of new culture and monitor all physiological and morphological characteristics and identify microorganisms.

• Develop Protocol and refine processes from lab-scale to full-scale production and field application.

• Monitor and ensure the stability, shelf life, and longevity of products through rigorous testing and formulation adjustments.

• Develop and implement testing protocols for raw materials and finished products to ensure quality and compliance.

• Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant national and international regulations, including safety and environmental standards.

• Ensure compliance with BSL (Bio Safety Level), ISO in all R&D activities.       

• Create and manage research track documentation, SOPs, and material budgets for the development of biofertilizers and biopesticides.

• Utilize and manage specialized equipment such as fermenters, bioreactors, and analytical instruments.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of R&D machinery.        

• Collect and analyze data to support the development and optimization of products, ensuring evidence-based decision-making.       

• Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify opportunities for new product development and enhancement of existing products.  

• Apply deep technical knowledge in microbiology, biotechnology, Genetic engineering and organic chemistry to solve complex R&D challenges and innovate in product formulations.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales, to ensure seamless integration of R&D outputs into commercial products.

• Develop and manage the R&D budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to high-impact projects.

• Visits to Gobindagang factory and other districts for project purposes, and monitoring the output of product applications.
