  • Age At least 30 years
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in procurement intelligence, market intelligence, sourcing analysis, category analysis, supply chain analytics, commodity research, business analysis, consulting or strategic planning support

  • Experience in purchase-market monitoring, supplier mapping, commodity price tracking, cost-driver analysis, procurement analytics, import/local sourcing, negotiation support or supply-risk assessment will be preferred

  • Experience in manufacturing, trading, FMCG, building materials, commodities, industrial raw materials or multi-business group environment will be an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong capability in procurement intelligence, supplier intelligence, source mapping, validation/triangulation, data interpretation and scenario thinking

  • Good understanding of cost drivers, commodity price movement, freight, duty, tax, FX linkage, lead time, supply-demand dynamics and sourcing-market risk

  • Ability to prepare concise intelligence notes, sourcing alerts, decision briefs, dashboards, data tables, presentations and management recommendations

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and/or Google Workspace, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Docs and Sheets; exposure to Power BI or dashboarding tools will be preferred

  • Familiarity with procurement databases, commodity platforms, trade data, supplier information, public data sources and approved business databases where relevant

  • Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, analytical presentation and cross-functional influencing capability

  • Practical understanding of procurement, SCM, finance, treasury, operations and business decision interfaces



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Purpose

The position is responsible for building and leading procurement intelligence capabilities to support sourcing decisions, cost control, supplier risk visibility and purchase-market monitoring. The role will generate evidence-based insights on local and international purchase markets, supplier behavior, input availability, cost drivers, pricing movement, lead time, freight, duty, tax, FX linkage and supply-demand conditions to support management, SCM and procurement decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

● Monitor local and international purchase-market conditions, supplier behavior, sourcing-region developments, input availability and cost-driver movement for key materials and services.

● Track commodity prices, freight, duty, tax, FX linkage, lead time, supplier risk and supply-demand conditions to support purchase timing, negotiation and sourcing decisions.

● Develop supplier mapping, alternate-source assessment, sourcing-risk analysis and procurement market intelligence to strengthen supply continuity and cost competitiveness.

● Prepare procurement intelligence notes, sourcing alerts, dashboards, price trackers, market briefings and decision briefs for SCM, procurement, business teams and management review.

● Validate critical purchase signals through documentary evidence, multiple-source triangulation, internal discussion, approved data sources, field confirmation or supplier-market checks.

● Identify and escalate supply continuity risks, cost pressure, supplier disruption, price abnormality, procurement exposure or savings opportunities with practical recommendations.

● Collaborate with SCM, procurement, finance, treasury, business teams, operations and BI/Data teams to align intelligence outputs with decision needs and action follow-up.

● Maintain source logs, evidence records, market trackers, supplier intelligence records, repository discipline, version control and confidentiality standards for all procurement intelligence outputs.

● Guide team members or analysts, where applicable, in procurement data collection, validation, dashboard input preparation, field intelligence and structured reporting discipline.
