Job Context:
∎ LAMB is a well-run major mission Hospital, Community Health Development, Training and Research organization. Services cover more than 6.3 million people in North West Bangladesh.
∎ There is a vacancy for the following regular position based at LAMB head Office, Parbatipur, Dinajpur:
∎ Job Summary: Assists in the coordination of poor fund distrubtuion through evaluation, poor fund Criteria selection and record keeping for patients admitted at LAMB hospital.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Poor Fund Assistant interviews patient and completes the Poor Fund questionnaire.
∎ Poor Fund Assistant explains the Poor Fund system and that dishonesty is grounds for refusal.
∎ Poor Fund Assistant completes the poor patient evaluation form (not in the presence of the patient)
∎ Poor Fund Assistant reviews all data and can make authorization up to Taka 300/-
∎ Do not want to discourage treatment that is necessary especially if the patient is a women or a child.
∎ Do not want to create poor people by forcing them to sell income generating properties or tools. Livestock is ok if it is not the only one.
∎ Young Heads of Households can take more expense because they will have more time to recover
∎ To serve the poorest people and as many of them as possible so we will have to be
∎ conservative.
∎ The Poor Fund Assistant will attach the Poor Fund questionnaire and the poor patient evaluation form together.
∎ If the patient cannot pay will need field visit to obtain poverty Category
∎ If any patient is dead and without relative, Poor Fund Assistant escorts the dead body back to his/her home.
∎ Poor Fund Assistant and patient relative can negotiate for the bill. But cashier will collect the bill.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least four years working experience in social work and ability to do simple math. Ability to speak, read and write simple English. Social Work training desired.

Salary:
∎ Around Tk. 11,800 per month gross. Benefits include medical care available at LAMB and Provident fund.
