Education:

M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry (Preferred)
MBA/Management qualification will be an added advantage.

Skills Required:
Additional Requirements:
- Age 35 to 48 years
• Experience in Sodium Sulphate, PAC, Sulfuric Acid, Inorganic Chemicals, or similar chemical industries.
• Hands-on experience in greenfield project commissioning is highly preferred.
Responsibilities & Context:
1. Plant Establishment & Commissioning
• Lead the installation, commissioning, and start-up of Sodium Sulphate and PAC manufacturing facilities.
• Coordinate with consultants, project engineers, EPC contractors, and equipment suppliers.
• Ensure all utilities are commissioned successfully.
• Develop commissioning plans and SOPs.
• Obtain plant acceptance and operational readiness.
• Ensure successful trial production.
2. Production Management
• Develop annual, monthly, and daily production plans.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining product quality.
• Optimize plant capacity utilization.
• Improve productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
• Monitor process parameters continuously.
• Reduce production losses and process deviations.
• Ensure uninterrupted plant operation.
3. Process Optimization
• Optimize chemical process parameters.
• Improve production yield.
• Reduce raw material consumption.
• Minimize energy usage.
• Introduce process improvements.
• Standardize operating procedures.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
4. Quality Assurance
• Ensure Sodium Sulphate and PAC products meet customer specifications.
• Maintain ISO quality standards.
• Coordinate with Quality Control Laboratory.
• Investigate quality issues.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure product traceability.
5. Engineering & Maintenance
• Lead Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Utility teams.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure high equipment reliability.
• Reduce plant downtime.
• Manage spare parts inventory.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh environmental regulations.
• Maintain safe handling of sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, aluminum hydroxide, sodium salts, and other hazardous chemicals.
• Develop emergency response procedures.
• Conduct safety audits.
• Promote Zero Accident culture.
• Ensure PPE compliance.
• Lead incident investigations.
7. Environmental Compliance
• Ensure proper wastewater treatment.
• Monitor emissions.
• Maintain ETP operation.
• Ensure hazardous waste management.
• Liaise with the Department of Environment (DoE).
• Maintain environmental records.
8. Cost Control
• Prepare annual operating budget.
• Monitor manufacturing costs.
• Optimize manpower utilization.
• Reduce energy costs.
• Improve raw material yield.
• Monitor plant KPIs.
• Control maintenance expenses.
9. Supply Chain Coordination
• Coordinate with Procurement for raw materials.
• Monitor inventory levels.
• Ensure uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate finished goods dispatch.
• Improve warehouse efficiency.
10. Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure compliance with:
o Bangladesh Factory Act
o Labour Law
o Environmental Regulations
o Fire Safety Requirements
o Chemical Storage Standards
o BSTI requirements (where applicable)
o ISO Standards
11. People Management
• Recruit and develop plant personnel.
• Lead Production, Engineering, QC, Maintenance, Utilities, Safety, and Warehouse teams.
• Conduct performance evaluations.
• Develop succession plans.
• Build a high-performance culture.
