Job Context:
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985.
∎ CODEC is implementing different Development projects in the field of Education, Livelihood support, Environment, Legal Service, Humanitarian Field, Advocacy, Health & Nutrition etc. The aim of CODEC is to provide support and assistance to the disadvantaged coastal communities in their day-to-day struggle.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is going to implement CODEC Climate Change Adaptation Project funded by STRØMME Foundation in Chitalmari Upazila, Bagerhat District, Bangladesh.
∎ CODEC Climate Change Adaptation Project aims to aware the People of rural areas such as Bagerhat of climate-smart technology and modern technology for agricultural and aquaculture production. Most of the farmers in these areas mainly depend on traditional methods of agricultural and aquaculture production. As a result, they experience production losses each year due to climate change, and climate-induced disasters. CODEC invites application for CODEC Climate Change Adaptation Project for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ PMEL Officer will work under the supervision of Project Manager for monitoring including program impact assessment, developing different monitoring tools and provide feedback on project progress.
∎ Implement reporting system and documentation as per project needs
∎ Ensure quality data to measuring impact of the project interventions through various approaches using both qualitative and quantitative process.
∎ Monthly data collection, analysis report and periodic monitoring report for the project;
∎ Ensure quality data to measuring impact of the project interventions through various approaches using both qualitative and quantitative process.
∎ Measuring sustainability and documentation of different project interventions.
∎ Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
∎ Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
∎ Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
∎ Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
∎ Work with management to prioritize activities and information needs
∎ Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
∎ Overall coordination of research activities (quantitative and qualitative) of different components of the project.
∎ Creating structures for data collection and entry.
∎ Research and review of field testing material, publications, manuals and reports.
∎ Overseeing data collection and entry.
∎ Conducting focus group discussions.
∎ Report writing of research data.
∎ Document all case studies, records, periodic report and other necessary docs.
∎ S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy. Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as PMEL Officer in the field of Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning & Documentation.
∎ S/he should be skilled in data collection, quality control, data management, analysis and reporting writing.
∎ Must have Computer knowledge (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, email, internet etc.)
∎ Strong ability in problem solving and decision-making.
∎ Report writing skills both in English and Bangla.
∎ Willing to ride motorcycle in the field with valid driving license.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
∎ Salary & other benefits – 40,000/- Monthly with 02 festival bonuses, Gratuity, Group Insurance, Special Medical Fund, Special Savings Facility and Communication Allowance.
