Job Context:
∎ As a pharmacy assistant you will be responsible for preparing and administering appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients. You will achieve this either by executing a physician`s order or by addressing the patient`s problems and needs.
∎ The job entails a high level of responsibility and knowledge. A pharmacy assistant does not merely hand out prescribed medicine; he/she has the expertise and willingness to assist people and provide them with information and solutions.
∎ The pharmacy assistant must be fully qualified to interpret symptoms so that the patient can either be given immediate treatment for a trifling condition or to be referred to the suitable doctor.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Label, package and compound pharmaceuticals so that all medications are properly dispensed
∎ Review physician orders and prepare medications accordingly
∎ Monitor patients' drug therapies
∎ Train additional staff within the pharmacy, including interns, students and residents
∎ Make sure all federal and state drug laws are followed, which involves removing expired drugs from the premises, maintaining records of all controlled substances and informing management of any changes that need to be made
∎ Ensure a safe environment is maintained within the pharmacy
∎ Attend workshops and review pharmaceutical publications in order to keep knowledge of practices up-to-date
∎ Any other task assigned by the management

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 1 - 2 years of experience for candidates holding a first level university degree.
∎ Experience in health related programs.
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field, public health sector and in medical emergencies Experience with refugee health will be added as advantage.
∎ Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
∎ Previous experience in development project at an international organization is an advantage.
∎ Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
∎ Proven ability to lead a team.
∎ Supervision experience a plus.
∎ Proficient in the English language.
∎ Computer skills especially in MS word and MS excel
Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh.

∎ Salary Review: Yearly
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one basic salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly basic salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
