Position Summary

The Pest Control Manager / Assistant Manager – Hotel Operations is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive pest management programs across the entire hotel, not limited to Housekeeping areas. This includes Guest Rooms, Kitchens and Food Production Areas, Restaurants, Associate Locker Rooms, Offices (including Executive Offices), Public Areas, Engineering Spaces, and Back-of-House facilities.

 

While administratively placed under Housekeeping, the role carries hotel-wide authority and responsibility to maintain hygiene, protect brand standards, and ensure guest, associate, and asset safety.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Ø  Hotel-Wide Pest Control Operations

·         Plan and execute pest control programs covering all hotel areas, including:

o    Guest Rooms and Corridors

o    Kitchens, Bakeries, Stewarding, and Food Storage Areas

o    Restaurants, Bars, Banquet Kitchens

o    Associate Locker Rooms, Canteens, and Rest Areas

o    Executive Offices, Administration Areas, and Meeting Rooms

o    Laundry, Stores, Garbage Holding Areas, and Engineering Spaces

·         Conduct scheduled inspections to identify pest activity and risk zones.

·         Ensure treatments are carried out discreetly with minimal disruption to guests and operations.

 

Ø  Kitchen & Food Safety Focus

·         Coordinate closely with Culinary and Stewarding teams to ensure food-safe pest control practices.

·         Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and local health authority requirements.

·         Monitor high-risk food zones and implement preventive measures to avoid infestation.

 

 

Ø  Preventive Pest Management

  • Recommend improvements in cleaning routines, waste management, storage practices, and building sealing.

 

Ø  Compliance, Safety & Documentation

  • Ensure full compliance with brand standards, statutory regulations, and environmental safety laws.

  • Maintain accurate pest control records, treatment logs, inspection reports, and chemical registers.

  • Ensure safe storage, handling, and application of chemicals as per guideline.

  • Lead pest-related documentation during internal audits, external audits.

 

Ø  Coordination & Leadership

  • Coordinate pest control activities with Housekeeping, Culinary, Engineering, Security, and Administration.

  • Supervise pest control technicians or assigned associates and evaluate service performance.

  • Liaise with third-party pest control vendors and monitor contract compliance.

  • Escalate critical pest issues to the Executive Housekeeper and General Manager with corrective action plans.

  • Strong inspection, documentation, and audit handling skills
