∎ Diploma in paramedics from recognized institution

∎ At least 2 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ RDRS Bangladesh is a national humanitarian and development organization is operating in Bangladesh since 1972 with a Vision to ensure a just and peaceful society where citizens live in dignity, freed from poverty, distress and ignorance.
∎ Currently RDRS Bangladesh is inviting applications to fill the position of Paramedics/Refractionist under RDRS Comprehensive Development Program, ELCA under Eye Care Center.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Refraction and Examine of eyes using observation, retinoscope and pharmaceutical agents to determine visual acuity and perception, focus and coordination and diagnose abnormalities such as color blindness, low vision;
∎ Attend Patient Screening Program / school sight test (weekly 2), supply, fit and adjust eye glasses, contact lenses and other vision Aid;
∎ Counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting arrangement and safety factor;
∎ Provide patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as cataract and laser vision correction, with pre and post operative care;
∎ Counseling cataract and other eye patient;
∎ Provide support to Doctor for eye operation;
∎ Support for eye patient;
∎ Maintain proper documents of patient;
∎ Sell of spectacle as per need of patient;
∎ Paramedics/Refractionist will also be responsible to perform other functions (not listed above) as may be required and assigned to his/her by the management of RDRS.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 02 years experience in relevant field;
∎ Ability to work independently and in a team;
∎ Good interpersonal and communication skill.

Salary: Negotiable
