Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 15 projects.

DAM Health Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of Outlet Manager of “Continuation and Scale up of HIV Prevention and Treatment Services among Key Population in Bangladesh" (PUD), GC-7 Project funded bu Global Fund and Principle Recipient Save the Children.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Update the master list through quarterly micro-planning.

  • Ensure store management and maintenance as per PSM guidelines.

  • If the SECMO is not available, refer clients to government hospitals for STI, abscess, general health services, and TB screening.

  • Develop and maintain good relationships with government hospital authorities, RMO, doctors, and nurses.

  • Prepare reports and documentation as per M&E guidelines.

  • Enter data into MIS.

  • Manage all activities conducted at service centers and outreach.

  • Maintain coordination and communication with government and non-government organizations.

  • Manage staff and overall expenditures.

  • Provide feedback through supportive supervision and monitoring and play a role in problem-solving.

  • Open the service center at 8:30 AM and keep it open until 4:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.

  • Ensure attendance of all staff with proper signatures in the daily attendance register.

  • Distribute needles, syringes, condoms, IEC/BCC materials among peer outreach workers (following FIFO method).

  • Ensure outreach shifts are running on time and there is no service gap between shifts; maintain regular communication with outreach workers.

  • Monitor proper collection of used needles and syringes.

  • Prepare updated drug user lists through spot mapping, spot analysis, and social mapping.

  • Collect used needles/syringes from peer outreach workers as per daily outreach service format.

  • Check daily stock of needles, syringes, condoms, medicines, and supplies.

  • Ensure proper disposal of needles/syringes and clinical waste as per organizational guidelines.

  • Provide appropriate counseling to STI patients and ensure partner treatment and follow-up.

  • Refer complicated and general STI, non-responsive cases, abscess, and general health cases to government clinics/hospitals.

  • Always maintain cleanliness of the service center.

  • Ensure access for all clients and maintain a healthy environment at the service center.

  • Monitor staff performance regularly and provide constructive feedback.

  • Supervise SECMO, Assistant Community Medical Officer, and Peer Outreach Workers; organize trainings/meetings.

  • Conduct regular/scheduled field visits and update field visit registers.
