Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities
Laboratory Work
Perform oocyte collection (OPU - Ovum Pick-Up) from donor cattle
Conduct in vitro fertilization (IVF) and in vitro culture (IVC)
Handle semen processing (thawing, capacitation, sperm selection)
Grade and select embryos for transfer/freezing
Maintain sterile lab conditions and SOP compliance
Technical & Scientific Tasks
Work with microscopes (stereo & inverted) for embryo handling
Prepare and manage culture media and lab reagents
Maintain liquid nitrogen storage for embryos and semen
Record IVF data, fertilization rate, blastocyst rate, etc.
Data & Reporting
Maintain digital and manual lab records
Prepare reports for embryo production performance
Assist in donor selection and management
Field Coordination
Coordinate with veterinarians for donor and recipient management
Support embryo transfer (ET) programs in field conditions
Quality Control
Ensure biosecurity and contamination control
Follow international IVF standards (ICAR / IETS guidelines)
