Job Context:
∎ Location: Dhaka with regular visits to field locations
∎ Duration: Initial contract of one year; contract extension up to 5 years based on the incumbent`s performance
∎ Reports to: Specialist - Public Sector Management
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strategy Development and Implementation
∎
∎ Lead community engagement and design of LED activities by analyzing business potentials at community level for Lead implementation of LED activities at the local level by analyzing growth potentials at community level for economic empowerment of poor and disadvantaged groups
∎ Support planning and design of LED activities for public sector engagements with LED Coordinators
∎ Facilitate and monitor the project activities within the designated municipality/municipalities to ensure smooth implementation and thereby contribute to the overall project goals.
∎ Collect information and analyze local political economy on a regular basis in consultation with local public and private sector actors
∎ Regularly update the management of challenges faced in implementation of the project activities and work closely with management to design solutions and mitigation measures
∎ Stakeholder Management

∎ Assist to develop capacity of municipality, community organizations, and civil society to engage in LED interventions and implement both short-term and longer-term LED activities
∎ Liaise with key stakeholders and develop relationships with important stakeholders to be able to manage expectations
∎ Support to conduct needs assessment of stakeholders and devise solutions
∎ Support in preparation of stakeholder dialog and events for awareness creation for LED both in local and national level
∎ Monitoring, Results Measurement and Learning
∎
∎ Support monitoring of field activities and be able to assess progress and identify gaps in implementation
∎ Coordinate regular feedback on field updates with supervisor
∎ Support in conducting assessments and necessary research during and after implementation and assist in evaluation of project activities
∎ Maintain a culture of learning and sharing information with peer officers, coordinators and team members in different municipalities
∎ Communication and Reporting
∎
∎ Support MRM team to prepare project progress reports, including technical reports and other reports as per project requirement
∎ Support knowledge management and development of knowledge products by identifying best practices and develop impact stories/case studies
∎ Support in organizing seminars and workshops at the local and national level and represent the project in different platforms
Additional Requirements:
∎ Basic understanding of different development projects and approaches being implemented in Bangladesh by NGOs, INGOS, civil society organisations
∎ Ability to work productively in a highly collaborative setting (as a team player) while also able to operate independently with limited to no supervision
∎ Results orientated, excellent data presentation, and strong research and reporting skills
∎ Excellent analytical, negotiation, decision making and problem-solving skills
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla
∎ Excellent computer literacy in MS Office programmes (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
∎ Demonstrates openness to change and ability to manage complexities
∎ Works with trustworthiness and integrity and is committed to Swisscontact's core values; and
