Skills Required:
Additional Requirements:
Minimum 2–3 years in WASH infrastructure design and GIS mapping
WASH infrastructure design (FSTP, IFSTN, water supply systems)GIS mapping and spatial analysis
AutoCAD-based engineering drawings
BoQ preparation Strong technical knowledge in WASH infrastructure design, including FSTP, IFSTN, water supply systems and SWM facilities
Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS/QGIS, and MS Excel for engineering design, mapping and BoQ preparation
Ability to perform spatial analysis and infrastructure planning using GIS tools
Sound understanding of FSM systems, sanitation engineering and water network design
Skilled in preparing technical drawings, layouts and cost estimations
Ability to interpret survey data and translate into design outputs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in design optimization
Good documentation and reporting skills
Effective communication and coordination with field and technical teams
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Responsibilities & Context:
Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings for FSTP, IFSTN, water supply networks, sanitation and SWM infrastructures
Develop GIS-based maps for infrastructure planning, monitoring, and reporting
Prepare BoQs, cost estimates, and technical specifications
Conduct spatial analysis to support site selection and optimization
Maintain updated infrastructure database and mapping system
Support technical team in design validation and revisions
Ensure designs comply with UNHCR and WASH sector standards
Assist in proposal development and technical documentation
Coordinate with field teams for ground-truthing and verification
Support emergency infrastructure design requirements
