Job Context:
∎ CODEC is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985.
∎ CODEC has been growing and evolving into efficient and effective non-governmental development organization in the coastal area of Bangladesh.
∎ From the beginning of its development intervention CODEC started its activities only with the fisherfolk communities but over the period CODEC now extended its working area with other disadvantaged coastal communities along with the fisherfolk community in the exposed coastal districts in Bangladesh.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals for our USAID’s ESHO SHIKHI Project located at 38 Upazila’s under 8 districts: Pirojpur, Patuakhali, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Bagerhat, Kishorgonj, Sherpur and Satkhira.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Tasks:
∎ Initiate Enlistment of vendor & supplier
∎ Provide logistics support to the program in arranging workshop/Seminar.
∎ Maintain Asset list of motorcycles, computer and equipment.
∎ Ensure transport as per the need of program and others.
∎ Ensure the motorcycle using and IT policies are compiled by all the users.
∎ Maintain and update leave register.
∎ Perform procurement process as per Organization’s policies.
∎ Ensure submission of monthly time sheets by all staff within the deadlines and submit those to the Manager Finance and Admin for Field Personnel on time.
∎ Maintain and update stock register.
∎ Renting of office at Upazila and District level and prepare lease agreements.
∎ Ensure timely renewal of the lease agreements well ahead of due date.
∎ Orient the staff on HR, Admin, IT Policies, motorcycle management and code of conduct.
∎ Provide hands on support to the project staff on HR & Admin issues.
∎ Any other task assigned by the management.
∎ Technical Activities:
∎ Should have good knowledge on logistics, admin management;
∎ Maintain and preserve records such as Leave register, Personal file, Receive and dispatch register, House rent Agreement file, Vehicle agreement/registration file, all kinds of legal documents such as registration certificates, Inventory register and Attendance and movement register.
∎ Ensure compliance with procurement, documentation and reporting according to organization’s and donor policies and procedures.
∎ Work Supervision:
∎ The Officer-Admin & Logistics will work under the Technical Supervision and overall guidance of Manager-Finance & Admin for Field Personnel and CODEC Head Office HR with respect to administrative supervision responsible to the employer or his designated person.
∎ Knowledge Management:
∎ S/he will be responsible to maintain a Work Journal, where you will document your learning, mistakes, challenges, experiences, accumulated knowledge, etc. either in English/Bengali and share with your line manager/CODEC management when required.
∎ S/he will be responsible to coordinate with all teams/departments of your project/program to document and share all knowledge that can be relevant and beneficial for the organization.
∎ PSEA:
∎ S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy. Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Work Location:
∎ This position is based at Dhaka with extensive field visit in project areas as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
∎ Good understanding and updated knowledge on the basic principles and best practices of procurement and supply chain.
∎ Excellent skills in handling all sorts of procurement efficiently.
∎ Excellent skills in MS Office and web-based applications/tools.
∎ Ability to handle procurement under pressure of urgency and complexity.
Salary: Tk. 70000 - 75000 (Monthly)
