∎ Basic B.Sc in nursing. 3 years clinical experience , Adminstrative training and/ or experience required, Computer skills (English and Bangla typing) Good English reading writhing and Speaking skills. Special Courses eg: Advance nurse midwifery (ANM), TOT Training required.

∎ There is a vacancy for the following regular position based at LAMB Nursing Department, Parbatipur, Dinajpur:
∎ Job Summary: Nursing Services are an essential part of total patient care. The Nursing supervisor, under supervision of the Nursing superintendent/ Nursing consultant and in collaboration with the Nurses In-Charge, works to ensure a high level of nursing care throughout the project as appropriate.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Acting Nursing superintendent when current superintendent is on leave.
∎ Participates in the selection, appointment and yearly formal evaluations of Nursing staff; as well as continually re-evaluating staff performance in order to improve quality of care and plan better utilization of time and abilities.
∎ Supervises the Nurses In-Charge in maintaining an effective Nursing service for the Project (General Ward, Labor Room, Maternity Ward, ANC, PW) including:
∎ Supervision of staff schedules and leaves.
∎ Ensuring proper maintenance of equipment.
∎ Maintaining a proper inventory of supplies.
∎ Alerts the Nursing superintendent to recurrent staffing, ward and patient care issues, and helps problem solve for them.
∎ Time sheet check and signing.
∎ Meetings attending.
∎ Nursing meeting minutes and IC minutes typing.
∎ Support Ward in Charge with roster typing (Nursing/HK)
∎ Works with the Nursing Education Consultant, to assess Nursing staff and to plan, develop and teach In-service training as well as to write and implement Nursing policy and procedures.
∎ Direct supervision of Linen Control Services.
∎ Supervise the HK in-charge and alert NS.
∎ Serves on committees as appointed.
∎ Keeps up to date on new developments in the fields of nursing and midwifery and participates in the continuing education of the Nursing staff.
∎ Assists in maintaining good relationships between Nursing and ancillary departments.
∎ Assists in clinical patient care when staffing needs indicate; both to provide an example for nursing staff and to assist in the management of difficult patient problems.
∎ Notifies the Nursing consultant /Nursing superintend of recurrent staffing issues and helps problem solve for them.
∎ Ensures Infection Control Polices are maintained.
∎ Provides In-services on relevant topics.
∎ Supervises the orientation of the new Nurse and Aides to the Department, assessing their skills and upgrading their training as necessary.
∎ Other tasks as designated by NS
