Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall Nursery Operations: Overseeing and managing all aspects of the nursery's daily operations, including plant production, inventory management, and quality control.
∎ Staff Management: Recruiting, training, and supervising nursery staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
∎ Crop Planning and Production: Developing and implementing production plans, including determining plant varieties, quantities, and schedules to meet customer demand and optimize nursery productivity.
∎ Plant Health and Care: Monitoring and maintaining plant health through pest and disease control measures, proper irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and general plant care practices.
∎ Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Managing inventory levels, ensuring an adequate supply of plant materials, containers, fertilizers, and other nursery inputs, while minimizing waste and optimizing costs.
∎ Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with plant selection, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
∎ Sales and Marketing: Collaborating with the sales team to develop marketing strategies, promote nursery products, and achieve sales targets. This may involve participating in trade shows, developing marketing materials, and maintaining customer relationships.
∎ Budgeting and Financial Management: Developing and managing the nursery budget, monitoring expenses, analyzing financial performance, and making strategic decisions to maximize profitability.
∎ Compliance and Regulations: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to plant health, safety, environmental impact, and labor practices.
∎ Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement, implementing best practices, and staying updated on industry advancements and trends to enhance nursery operations and customer satisfaction.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
Salary: Tk. 15000 - 22000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ T/A, Tour allowance, Performance bonus, Provident fund
∎ Salary Review: Yearly
∎ Festival Bonus: 2
