Job Context:

∎ There is a vacancy for the following contractual position for the Elimination of Genital Fistula by Capturing, Treating, Rehabilitating and Reintegrating in Bangladesh (FRRei) Project funded by UNFPA as follows;
∎ Job Summary: Responsible to deal the referred patients pre and post treatment with necessary communication to hospital. Nursing Services are essential to total patient care. The Nurse/Midwife will provide quality nursing care to all patients and demonstrate leadership responsibility to all nursing staff.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. General:
∎ Ensure proper care and interaction with fistula patients and their families.
∎ Collaborating with medical staff on fistula patient care issues and carrying out orders from the Doctors.
∎ Maintains a good relationship with fistula referral patients
∎ Conduct training for internal and external staff on fistula
∎ To assist fistula cured women for rehabilitation training
∎ Establish positive working relationships with all members of the Fistula team as well as with the volunteers
∎ Rapport building with MoWCA, MoSWF and MoYS to rehabilitate who fully cured from fistula.
∎ Conduct at least few sessions in a month with adolescent girls in schools, madrashas and colleges about fistula awareness.
∎ Assist fistula patients for digenesis or fistula screening.
∎ Provide supportive role with the referral fistula patient's liaison link for govt. health staff.
∎ 2. Awareness raising/ orientation on FGF for health personnel at upazila level:
∎ Arrange a meeting with staff of UHC & FWC to share the project implementation strategy and possible contributing roles from government department and project.
∎ Arrange orientation on fistula, case identification and referral system for all health personnel both medical and non-medical.
∎ Arrange session on fistula, dissemination of awareness message on fistula and referring case.
∎ Disseminate the message on fistula prevention through regular activities at field.
∎ Aware the women on possible causes of fistula and preventive measures.
∎ 3. Holistic support and rehabilitation of women with fistula including income-generating training:
∎ Assist to arrange LAMB based training in income generation (IG) e.g. tailoring, poultry farming, cattle rearing, handy crafts etc.
∎ 4. Humanitarian response:
∎ Conduct health camps during disaster period for the disaster-affected people.
∎ Assist to conduct fistula diagnosis camp with other fistula project team.
∎ 5. Quality control:
∎ Assist to maintain quality of project activities
∎ 6. Environment
∎ Consider all materials used or distributed in the project that are environment friendly.
∎ 7. Networking and advocacy:
∎ Ensure good communication between LAMB and local level
∎ Time to time communicate with local level government staff
∎ 8. Integration of spiritual, emotional & social health:
∎ Ensure prayer at beginning of daily work, before the meeting, workshop, seminar & training
∎ Ensure spiritual concepts & holistic approach to communication, service delivery, administration and resolution of conflicts
∎ Ensure religious and organizational values among staff following organizational policies including safeguarding policy (child protection, adult vulnerable policy)
∎ Promote LAMB values
∎ Be an example in implementing the project activities to the organizational mission, vision, and values
∎ 9. Others:
∎ Any other duty assigned by supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Able to work independently and should have leadership and supervisory abilities and demonstrates a professional attitude of leadership and character that is consistent with the ethical standards of LAMB Project.

Salary:
∎ Around Tk. 23,000 -24,000 per month gross.
