Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identifies patient care requirements with patients with special attention to the women, girls, boys and men to ensure that their needs are met equally/pregnant women to ensure adequate check-ups during antenatal, childbirth and postnatal care.
∎ Assist the patients in understanding their condition, medication with dose intervals.
∎ Counsel patients and caregivers in prevention of disease.
∎ Assist Medical Doctor in conducting health examination conducting history taking, measurement, treatment, medicine management and dispensing, immunization and collating medical reports and also in performing medical procedure and referral including but not limited to other patient follow up and specimen collection when required.
∎ Guide and supervise nurses in patient triage, infection control and prevention, patient counselling, cleanliness etc.
∎ To manage and supervise the team of nurses
∎ Assists in the operations of the IPD including rostering of nurses, completing medication requests and ensuring all needed equipment is available and in working order
∎ To ensure and maintain the proper supply chain of logistics to the nurse team
∎ Maintain daily checklist of all medical equipment and medicines to ensure that all medical kits are ready and fully stocked, with all medical supplies organized, listed, and within the expiration period.
∎ Regularly supervise, monitor, update and maintain the record of patient care and other information related to patient.
∎ Assist Medical Doctor in identifying priority health needs and other activities including but not limited to regular diseases outbreak monitoring, collecting statistical information,
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by the matron
∎ IPC Management
∎ Ensure proper donning and doffing of PPE items.
∎ Conduct proper triage, early recognition and source control
∎ Supervise instrument processing
∎ Monitor waste management in the hospital
Additional Requirements:
∎ Previous experience of managing teams
∎ Experience of managing an IPD
∎ Previous experience in RI is highly desirable
∎ Previous experience in international organization is an advantage. Knowledge and experience with working in the field of refugee health care will be added as advantage.
∎ Effectively applies knowledge on clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, administering medication, phlebotomy, maintenance etc.
∎ Adequate practical knowledge on handling child delivery and its complications.
∎ Works effectively with local authorities, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one basic salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly basic salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
