Job Context:
∎ AISD is looking to hire a network specialist who will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our computer networks. You will be in charge of overseeing digital security and performing maintenance to ensure that the system is operating at full capacity. You will also be tasked with installing hardware and software when necessary.
∎ AISD adopted a Child Protection Policy on November 17, 2015 and is committed to the protection of all children and young people from harm. We require all staff and faculty applicants to undergo stringent selection and screening processes before being allowed to work with children.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Network and Wifi Responsibilities:
∎ Assess and improve the network and computer system needs.
∎ Installing, configuring, and managing network equipment routers, switches, firewall, update, and maintain hardware and software.
∎ Make upgrades and repairs as needed which may happen outside of business hours.
∎ Oversee digital security on our firewall and wifi for students, teachers, and staff.
∎ Collect and analyze the data to optimize performance.
∎ Onboard users to the network.
∎ Ability to deploy Physical network Infrastructure.
∎ Manage School Administrators & Teachers home internet infrastructure.
∎ Configure & Troubleshooting school-wide CISCO switches.
∎ Manage our bandwidth for Intranet & internet, Actively monitor AISD upstream provider
∎ Configure, and troubleshoot Network printers.
∎ Maintaining the day-to-day IT operation.
∎ Knowledge of networking technologies protocols (OSPF, BGP, VLAN, MPLS, QoS etc.) and services layer2, layer3, MPLS, VPNs, NMS, port forwarding, AirGroup etc.
∎ Integration Network, Link Commission. Bandwidth Up-gradation/Down-gradation/Link disconnection, Building Network, Link Shifting/ Modification, Network Optimization & Security as per plan Data validation / IP Transmission infra-structure development.
∎ Configuring and managing Access-list, DHCP, VLANs, Routing & Switching, Active directory, DNS etc.
∎ Network configuration experience for classroom devices apple tv,chrome cast, AQI etc.
∎ Knowledge on Cloud computing, virtualization.
∎ 2. Asset Management and Purchase:
∎ Work with Vendors to secure accounts and hardware, negotiate prices, finalize contracts.
∎ Assist for the Tech budget, research products that meet our requirements, negotiate prices, and work with procurement to acquire the products.
∎ Barcode and manage our inventory.
∎ 3. IT Support :
∎ Provide onsite classroom support for Network printers, projector, sound system etc.
∎ Provide student support for accounts and wifi access
∎ Provide support during MAP testing.
∎ Support events for recording and sound system.
∎ Process and print ID cards
∎ All Help Desk calls receive a response within a 15-minute period
∎ Resolution of 95% of calls within 2 hours
∎ All requests to Tech support Desk are logged and completed
∎ Document maintenance/service/operation procedures.
∎ Key Performance indicators (KPI) Measures of success
∎ Efficient Network Administration with zero outage
∎ Ensure effective use of AISD Core router, CISCO switches,Bandwidth Manager
∎ Develop and revise user manuals for all systems for team use.
∎ Prepare network printer documentation (# of paper printed, # of cartridge used, cartridge change date, person name, printer troubleshooting log etc.)
∎ Actively improve and update our backup servers
∎ Proactively manage and improve SonicWALL router, Aruba Wi-Fi network training. PA System configuration training.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven network infrastructure job experience is mandatory. Training and Certifications on routers, switches and firewalls are preferable. Skilled and confident on Router, switch, wireless controller and firewall administration. NOC experience preferred.
∎ At least 5 to 7 years of job experience in support service, Network Administration, System Administration etc.
∎ Large network infrastructure experience is highly desirable. CISCO, SonicWall, Aruba, MikroTik, Apple, MDM, ChromeBook experiences desired. ISP and vendor job experience is highly desired. Multicultural job experience is preferable.
Salary:
∎ Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Overtime Provision if approved by the Head of the Department.
