Experience:
Preferably in a technical or science-related field-
Graduation/MBA/Masters from any discipline. (Knowledge in sales marketing preferable)
B.sc/Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electronics / Power Engineering/ Chemical Engineering (especially for battery chemistry knowledge).
Applied Physics or Energy Science.
Experience in “Battery/Automotive Batteries/Solar Industry/” will get privilege.
Sales Strategy & Planning with forecast, develop annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans aligned with company goals.
Set pricing/margin targets, discount policies consistent with cost, competition, and customer expectations.
Market & Customer Insights- Monitor and analyze market trends, growth areas, demand cycles, competition.
Gather customer feedback and preferences to inform product development, features, or custom solutions.
Identify new business opportunities and emerging sectors.
Build and manage a network of dealers, distributors, channel partners, resellers across the country.
Expand geographic coverage- underserved districts, rural or semi-urban markets.
Lead, coach, and develop sales force (RSM, TSM, sales executives).
Set individual and team KPIs (targets for sales, margin, collection, coverage).
Monitor performance, provide feedback, reward high performance, and address underperformance.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets, manage budgets (promotions, travel, incentives etc.).
Ensure coordination with production, logistics to avoid stockouts or delays.
Manage credit & collection- ensure collections, minimize bad debts.
Assist in deciding which products to launch, phase out.
Align product roadmap with market needs.
Work with marketing to design promotional campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, technical seminars; product awareness.
Ensure proper sales collateral, technical specification sheets, demonstration units.
Liaise with internal departments: production, R&D, supply chain, finance, and operations.
Manage relationships with key customers.
Regular report to senior management: sales achieved vs. target, pipeline, margin, competitor activity.
