∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
∎ Strong networking, negotiation, and donor relationship management skills.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop annual and periodic advocacy plans aligned with organizational priorities.
∎ Support the design and execution of national-level advocacy initiatives and campaigns.
∎ Initiate innovative and ICT-based tools for advocacy (e.g., online/offline campaigns, media tools, etc.).
∎ Facilitate coordination among national and international stakeholders, including NGOs, CSOs, and service providers.
∎ Build rapport with government bodies, development partners, donors, civil society groups, and the media.
∎ Mobilize community leaders, activists, and forums (e.g., youth forums, climate action forums) for collective advocacy actions.
∎ Develop, prepare, and disseminate advocacy and communication materials such as position papers, presentations, event concept notes, memorandum, declarations, press releases, press briefings, etc.
∎ Have ability to develop photocard and short videos in favor of the advocacy causes.
∎ Build and manage a media network in national to district level to highlight the advocacy news and article.
∎ Organize and support advocacy events, including Press conferences, media briefings, round tables, meet-the-press events, memorandum submissions, human chains, letter campaigns, wall writings, and social media actions at national level.
∎ Formational National Level Climate Action Forum, conduct regular meetings and engage them in our advocacy initiative.
∎ Build capacity of staff, community leaders, and forums (Union, Upazila, District and national) on advocacy tools and strategies.
∎ Uphold confidentiality and compliance with employment terms and organizational standards.
∎ Ensure organizational branding and visibility in all advocacy events and other documents including social media.
∎ Develop relationships with like-minded NGOs, CSOs, and other stakeholders, forming alliances to strengthen LEDARS' advocacy initiatives.

∎ LEDARS (Local Environment Development and Agricultural Research Society), an NGO registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau, has been working in the climate-vulnerable coastal region of Bangladesh since 1996. The region faces severe challenges due to the adverse impacts of climate change, affecting the lives and livelihoods of local communities. As part of its continued mission to climate resilience and community development. LEDARS is going to implement an integrated Program in Satkhira, Khulna and Bagerhat district entitles “RISE (Resilient Institution for Scaling-up Empowerment). To support this initiative, LEDARS is seeking to recruit a “National Advocacy Coordinator”. This is a senior-level position and will serve as the lead role for advocacy, responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing advocacy strategies to influence policy and promote the rights of climate-affected communities.
