Job Context:
∎ Duration: Initially up to September 2022 with a possibility of extension based on performance and program requirements
∎ Location: Remote (the candidates need to maintain a regular physical presence with the SMEs in the targeted locations - Dhaka, Savar, Gazipur, Rangpur, and Bogura, etc.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collect data on regular basis to measure achievements against targets;
∎ Conduct field visit to monitor program implementation and verification of data provided;
∎ Develop and finalize work plans in accordance with program activities, data requirements, and timeframes as relevant;
∎ Conduct periodic review of monitoring and reporting mechanism;
∎ Enter data into program MIS/Excel database;
∎ Assist donor monitoring team in data collection, analysis, survey, and studies;
∎ Support BDS Implementation Manager/BDS Consultants in progress reporting and impact evaluation;
∎ Support BDS Implementation Manager/BDS Consultants in developing reports on monitoring findings and preparing presentations based on data as required; and
∎ Assist BDS Implementation Manager/BDS Consultants in processing, analyzing, and disseminating monitoring findings and documents for best practices to facilitate evidence-based planning, learning, and decision making.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years of progressive and relevant work experience in the field of monitoring, evaluation, and data entry activities in private sector/INGO/research entities;
∎ Successful experience in MRM (e.g., surveys and data collection);
∎ Experience in SME monitoring, data entry, and database management system;
∎ Technical background in quantitative analysis (statistics/econometrics) is preferred.
∎ Experience of working with SMEs in the targeted locations and prioritized sectors is preferred;
∎ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, tasks efficiently in a high-stress environment;
∎ Excellent time management skills, resourcefulness, with strong attention to detail;
∎ Demonstrated knowledge and experience related to SMEs, private sector, and entrepreneurship development in the country;
∎ Successful participation in other related development programs/projects;
∎ Ability/experience of serving both women and men clients;
∎ Demonstrated understanding of the socio-economic context of Bangladesh;
∎ Working experience and familiarity with the development efforts of the international development partners, INGOs, and NGOs;
∎ Excellent computer literacy in MS Office programs (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
∎ Compelling presentation and influencing skills.
