Job Context:
∎ Truvalu is currently looking for a Finance & Admin Expert to be a part of its core finance and administration team responsible for Truvalu`s Bangladesh operations as well as back-office support for Truvalu`s global office based in the Netherlands and its other country offices.
∎ LOCATION: Based in Dhaka, however, frequent travel outside of Dhaka may be required.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparing interim and annual financial statements in accordance with the requirements of IFRS and other applicable laws and regulations.
∎ Facilitating the annual statutory audit process.
∎ Preparing financial projections and reporting actual financial results periodically.
∎ Maintaining day-to-day financial and accounting operations smoothly in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
∎ Ensuring timely payments to employees and vendors.
∎ Managing all banking affairs smoothly.
∎ Ensuring proper management of the fund.
∎ Managing income tax and VAT-related affairs in accordance with the prevailing fiscal laws and regulations.
∎ Managing company secretarial and licensing issues.
∎ Managing all administrative affairs and ensuring optimum logistics support to the team.
∎ Managing all HR affairs of the company including but not limited to recruitment, payroll, etc.
∎ Managing revenue-related administrative affairs and providing necessary support to colleagues for successful implementation of the projects and delivery of services to clients.
∎ Managing all administrative and reporting affairs of donor-funded projects and handling all queries of donors and project auditors.
∎ Managing all procurement affairs of the company.
∎ Assisting the investment team in conducting due diligence on new investments.
∎ Assisting the investee companies to establish and maintain proper financial management systems and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
∎ Coordinating with colleagues and entrepreneurs for preparing financial statements of investee companies for quarterly monitoring review and annual audit.
∎ Providing financial accounting and reporting, portfolio management, and other required back-office support to Truvalu's global office based in the Netherlands and its other country offices.
∎ NOTE: The job responsibilities outlined above are not meant to be an exhaustive list of tasks. The need for flexibility is required, and the ideal candidate is expected to carry out any other related duties that are within his/her skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2-3 years of progressive and relevant work experience in the field of finance, accounting, and taxation.
∎ Comfortable traveling on short notice to different districts across Bangladesh.
∎ Have strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and conversant with financial accounting, reporting, taxation, and other relevant laws and regulations.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), and presentation skills.
∎ Fluency in English is a must.
∎ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks efficiently in a high-stress environment.
∎ Excellent computer literacy in Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
∎ Strong understanding and experience of working with ERPs.

Salary:
∎ Negotiable (competitive salary package based on competency and experience).
