Job Context:
∎ SHALOM, is a national nonprofit development organization, working for humanitarian needs and initiating development activities to secure the life and living of the rural and urban poor and disaster vulnerable community since 1971 in Bangladesh. Its outreach programme covers almost 150,000 people in 16 districts.
∎ POSITION: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
∎ REPORTS TO: Director, SHALOM
∎ POSITION SUMMARY: The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for effectively managing projects information, communication and outreach efforts and delivering a high-quality, results-oriented program. Position is contingent upon receipt of donor funding.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Set up and ensure implementation of M&E data base system by collection of information, data analysis and preparing project progress reports in time and in English.
∎ Based on the project logical framework, theory of change and programme implementation plan, identify monitoring issues, indicator setup, develop monitoring tools, guideline and testing questionnaire in field.
∎ Issues based and outcome monitoring data collection, data entry and assist to analyze, prepare monitoring reports (with observation & recommendation) and share with concerned personnel.
∎ Ensure systematic quality checking of MIS and programme monitoring information, update beneficiary's profile, data collection, and prepare qualitative case study.
∎ Develop/organise feedback mechanism for beneficiaries through meetings, regular focus group discussions, etc. to assess impact and quality of activities.
∎ Conduct different small scale Research, Baseline & End-line and lessons learn survey, and preparing reports.
∎ Monitoring findings sharing with SHALOM team in coordination and progress review meeting.
∎ Specific incident investigation, prepare report and share with concerned persons and with management.
∎ Ensure that best practices in Monitoring Evaluation are integrated into the project;
∎ Ensure that notions of gender and equity are taken into account at all stages of the follow-up assessment process.
∎ Review, improve and/or develop training module and IEC material and work towards standardization of all material developed.
∎ Implement/support project activities according to individual work plan and building on project set objectives.
∎ Organise and/or participate actively in regular team meetings.
∎ Any other relevant assignments deemed necessary for SHALOM

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years' working experience in relevant field and equivalent position in NGOs or INGOs.
∎ Good knowledge on basic M&E, and mastery of processing and statistical analysis.
∎ Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Excel and Power point.
∎ Age and academic qualification may be relaxed for the experienced candidates.
