Additional Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Inter-Agency Case Management and Child Protection guidelines, along with data management, coordination structures, and safeguarding policies

  • Understanding of Core Humanitarian Standard, BRAC values, and key frameworks like ESS, AAP, and compliance procedures

  • Proven skills in reporting, planning, and developing high-quality program documentation

  • Demonstrated leadership and management ability with strong stakeholder engagement skills in sensitive and complex environments

  • Effective facilitation, technical, and analytical skills with fluency in English communication

  • Experience in project management with a focus on maintaining Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS) compliance

  • Strong competency in prioritization, meeting deadlines, and working in challenging, multicultural contexts with high cultural sensitivity and adaptability

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with ISCG, CPSS agencies, and relevant stakeholders, ensuring attention to detail and compliance standards



Responsibilities & Context:

BRAC is an international development organisation founded in Bangladesh in 1972 that partners globally with over 100 million people living with inequality and poverty to create opportunities to realise their potential.

In order to successfully implement the child protection services, the case worker will identify and register vulnerable children through home visits and ensure access to essential services via effective referral pathways. Provide case management support, reunification, CBCPC meeting, awareness-raising session, coordination with agencies, and regular reporting.

  • Through home-to-home visits, identify and register vulnerable children who are being abused, neglected, child marriage, trafficked, exploited, etc.

  • Ensure each child can access the necessary services, medical, nutrition, mental, legal, etc. via the referral pathway.

  • As needed, especially in cases of separated or unaccompanied children, provide appropriate dignity or comfort items to affected children.

  • Conduct family tracing to reunite children separated from their parents or other relatives, which may include liaising with local authorities and or other child protection agencies operating.

  • Report to the Protection focal person any identified trends or common risks and recommend steps to address or mitigate them where possible.

  • Identify any issues with the referral pathway and work with CP staff and local authorities to address them. Work in close collaboration with the community mobilizers to strengthen our relationship with the community and to strengthen the referral system.

  • Work with the child protection team to ensure close links between case management and our work with community-based child protection mechanisms.

  • Submit weekly and monthly case management reports and ensure that information is kept up to date.

  • Work to identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership at the field level and any other responsibilities as requested by the supervisor.

  • Coordinate with other agencies offering case management services to children on referral and transfer of cases.

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
