Experience:
Degree/ Honors/ Master in Social Science/Studies/Law from any reputed UGC approved institution
•Skilled in analysing capacity building needs and designing and delivering a range of capacity building interventions.
•Knowledge on current practices, standards, technical aspects of Safeguarding and PSEA
•Able to travel frequently to visit safeguarding practices in the various field locations
•Facilitation skills and experience on development of modules, communication materials
•Have good understanding on programme /sector operations in the community level and capacity building of them
•Ability to present information analysis to senior management and external stakeholders
•Sound interpersonal communication and networking skills who builds and utilizes contacts and relationships to strengthen practice.

Drive, coordinate, and support the implementation of the organization’s Safeguarding and PSEA policies and standards across the Humanitarian Crisis Management Programme (HCMP), Bhasan Char. This includes leading safeguarding activity planning and implementation, ensuring effective incident reporting and response mechanisms, and engaging with relevant stakeholders.
The position also oversees donor assessment processes and provides necessary technical support to ensure that employees, volunteers, partners, and community members are protected from any form of harm or abuse
CAPACITY BUILDING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
•Plan and ensure capacity building of employee, teacher/volunteer and associated personnel on the safeguarding and other policies including the Code of Conduct and reporting mechanisms
•Arrange and conduct various events, campaign, discussion sessions, group meetings, orientations for raising awareness of different people associated with organization
•Develop and disseminate awareness raising material for employees, volunteers and programme participants/ affected communities with effective messages
•Ensure the availability of IEC/BCC materials in organizations’ establishment especially schools and those are placed rightly.
•In coordination with Management of different sectors to ensure communities and program participants understand their rights, organization’s safeguarding commitment and reporting channels and builds trust around response systems
SYSTEMS STRENGTHENING, PROCESSES & TOOLS:
•Review and develops tools, guidelines, SoPs’ to support sectors/ programmes and
partners to ensure safeguarding /PSEA systems and compliance
•Support and works with different Sectors/programmes to ensure that safeguarding and PSEA aspects are incorporated in the lifecycle of operations, including the designing, implementation and monitoring phase
•Ensure safe partnership through due diligence assessment and capacity building of partners and provide necessary technical support
•Promote and support the organizational incidence reporting and response mechanisms and internal case management including the investigation process
•Work with Sector/project/programme managers to establish and ensure community-level complaints/feedback mechanisms that ensure reporting of harm and abuse
MONITORING, AND REPORTING:
•Prepare periodic reports for senior management on the implementation and progress of safeguarding –PSEA activities.
•Discuss subsequent action required to ensure the safety and welfare of individual people, in cases of any potential harm due to various risks
•Carrying out intense field observation to follow up the safeguarding and PSEA practices and identify gaps and quality of operations, also to give necessary feedback, redesign activities for further improvement
RESPONSE & SUPPORT:
•Maintain case registrar in regards to harm and abuses, responding in accordance with the organisation’s procedures and providing referral as necessary and follow up the progress of all cases.
•Ensures safeguarding and PSEA incidents are reported immediately and addressed to different organizational channels and provides support for investigations as needed.
•Support and participate in any inquiry into reported incident or case involving harm to staff, children and communities as necessary
•Support survivors through referral mechanisms in coordination with concern programme/sector/unit
•Work with programme to establish and ensure community-level complaints mechanisms that facilitate reporting of harm and abuse
SAFEGUARDING:
•Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
•Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
