Job Context:
∎ Centre for Injury Prevention and Research, Bangladesh (CIPRB) is one of the leading organizations dedicated to public health research in Bangladesh. The centre is now looking for qualified persons to fulfill the above vacant posts immediately to work in disaster and drowning prevention programme.
∎ Duration: From 1 March 2021 to 30 June 2022, subject to be extended based on individual performance.
∎ Job location: Dhaka based with extensive field visit to Barisal division.
∎ Duration Initial appointment will be for 16 months (with possibility for further extension based on funding availability and performance) including 3 months probationary period.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will provide support to the Team Leader in the following field of work
∎ Review and develop M & E Plan Policies and Procedures for the Disaster and Drowning prevention project field activities.
∎ Take initiative to produce and implement MIS for the project as well as for the organization.
∎ In collaboration with team leader, deputy team leader and program staff develop and implement appropriate monitoring systems within the project (including all Field Offices)
∎ Monitor the quality of service delivery and ensure appropriate step are taken to enhance the quality of service delivery
∎ To evaluate the qualitative and quantities of achievement as per work plan in accordance with the Project and Organizational Mission / Goals
∎ Feedback and presentation of quarterly report to management to ensure the quality and quantity of activities as per work plan
∎ Promote knowledge sharing and coaching among the relevant staff of the project
∎ Develop reporting format, monitoring checklist, case study to share with staff and management.
∎ Support in the implementation of the M&E capacity building plan
∎ Participate in any government and other stakeholders related meetings as and when required
∎ Keeping liaison with DGHS, DGDM, development partners and other NGOs at the national and divisional level.
∎ Providing technical support in data management, quality assurance and data analysis.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 3-4 years experiences in monitoring and evaluation of public health research and programme activities with a good exposure to work at the field level.
∎ Candidates having knowledge and experience to work in Disaster/Injury prevention will be an advantage.
∎ Have clear understanding of the program's M&E framework, tools, process, sampling, data collection frequencies, and data source of the selected area
∎ Excellent knowledge in project monitoring and evaluation
∎ Strong network and interpersonal skill,
∎ Strong organizational skills with the ability to deliver results.
∎ Excellent skill in verbal and written communications in English particularly in preparing issue-based papers or reports
∎ Ensure using quantitative and qualitative approaches to collect data and assist them in data processing and analysis as per analysis plan
∎ Maintain and update M&E database system at hub office level which can be accessed whenever information is required
∎ Knowledge in developing strategies, report writing
∎ Proficiency in data analysis and technical expertise on data.
∎ Knowledge of computer Applications and SPSS/STATA.
Salary:
∎ 49,00 to 52,069 BDT, based on educational qualifications and experiences.
