∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is working in the coastal area of Bangladesh since 1985. Its core activities are the socio-economic development of coastal people which is operated through seven thematic areas as Agriculture, Fishery, Dairy and Horticulture; Education, Skills and Youth Development; Conflict Resolution; Climate Change and Disaster; Health and Nutrition; Social Entrepreneurship; Microfinance and Rohingya Education, Protection and Repatriation.
∎ CODEC has planned to implement the Nature conservation through livelihoods improvements (Nature and Life) – Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh under USAID Local Works Bangladesh Activities in the landscape area of Teknaf Wildlife Sanctuary area to restore a heavily degraded forest ecosystem through further strengthen Nishorgo Network – a co-management platform with a vision to conserve forest protected areas and community well-being.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitoring & Evaluation Manager (M & E Manager) will develop the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Plan in consultation with USAID and will implement the MEL activities and reporting. He will ensure collection of baseline data and analysis, follow-up of implementation plans in different levels, manage qualitative & quantitative information, and support monitoring activities as per requirement of donor and CODEC management. He will submit regular monitoring report and share case studies with in-depth study findings. He will also support the evaluation teams from the USAID. He will ensure project activity progress and quality management with regular reporting.The details of the Job responsibility are given below;
∎ Act as a primary point of contact for project Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning activities.
∎ Develop the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Plan in consultation with USAID and implement the MEL activities and reporting.
∎ Set up MEL systems for real-time data collection on project activities, in coordination with implementing teams.
∎ Ensure conduction of baseline survey for project indicators.
∎ Facilitate setting indicator-based targets for each operating units/sites and activities in line with the Annual Work Plans under Component 1 through 4 including cross cutting issues.
∎ Help field team (Site coordinators, Site facilitators, field organizers) for maintenance of electronic and hardcopy files, documents of project activities.
∎ Ensure timely submission of regular reports on project progress for USAID.
∎ Regular and routine visits at the project sites and CMOs / CBOs.
∎ Facilitate MEL functions of USAID including Data Quality Assessments, Mid-term and Performance evaluations.
∎ Any other activities as assigned by the authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Should have proven skill and experience in interpreting quantitative and qualitative narrative information and report writing in English and also have computer software knowledge mainly on spread sheet, electronic databases, website base date uploading and internet browsing.
∎ Ensure quantitative & qualitative data is accurate, reliable, timely, complete and precise in required compliance.
∎ Measure progress in terms of output and outcome.
∎ Data collection, analysis report and periodic monitoring report;
∎ Good knowledge on ICT based monitoring system.
∎ Candidates having knowledge on SPSS and other statistical software will be given preference.
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 80000 (Monthly)
∎ Bonus, Gratuity and Insurance facility as per Project approved budget.
