∎ The Employee`s position is that of Monitoring and Case Management Officer. . The role will need to provide support to the programme team during project implementation. The employee must be able to multitask and familiar with the basic knowledge of project management with a strong inter-personal skill. The employee must work in close collaboration with the Line Manager and assigned project team to ensure the basic operational support. The Employee will be responsible to address the following key responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key responsibilities for media monitoring:
∎ Conduct regular monitoring of Bangladeshi and South Asian media online (The online portal of national and local dairies of Bangladesh) .
∎ Documentation of daily media monitoring and share with Bangladesh team on a daily basis.
∎ Compose and prepare periodic report (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
∎ Prepare a monthly report on DSA cases including: collection of news body, compilation of news and preparation of monthly data sheet on DSA cases.
∎ Prepare a monthly FoE and Right violations report and datasheet, collecting news pieces and comping news.
∎ Prepare a monthly report and data sheet on Defamation Cases DSA for Defamation
∎ Key Responsibilities for Case Management:
∎ Prepare soft documents for the Shohojogita (Emergency Support) files (develop case story, checklist, approval and committee evaluation sheet);
∎ Prepare hard files of the Shohojogita cases; contact journalists for the needed documents; manage the documentation; regularly update the emergency support database.
∎ Stay aligned with the existing Shohojogita Protocol and develop, review, and modify the Protocol as per needed.
∎ Responsible to support the Line Manager and project focal person of the assigned projects.
∎ Provide basic operational support regularly during the overall implementation phase of the assigned project teams.
∎ Ensure that all activities are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
∎ Provide on-site support during project activities such as workshops, roundtable, seminars, FGDs and ToTs.
∎ Provide support during activity cost projection and advance request for assigned projects.
∎ Provide assistance to the assigned project teams during preparation of the reports and preserve documentation in both hard copies and soft copies of assigned projects separately for future references .
∎ The above-mentioned tasks to be performed are intended as a guide and should not be viewed as an inflexible specification as it may be modified following discussion with the Employee. Expected deliverables from the Employee throughout this employment period are as follows:
∎ Provide a clear and detailed work plan and timeline to the Line Manager.
∎ Maintain Digital Contact Database of stakeholders of the assigned projects.
∎ All analytical or research reports during employment duration, tools, documents, meeting summaries, audios and pictures including the consent papers collected during the data collection for the assignments must be collated with timesheet as deliverables.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Familiar with working with media outlets and civil society organisations;
∎ Able to independently conceptualize and deliver project activities within the given timeframe;
∎ Can establish and manage trusted contacts with media organisations and civil society organisations;
∎ Excellent planning and organisational skills and are attentive to details ;
∎ Proficient in written and spoken English and Bangla;
∎ Proficient in MS Word and Excel;
∎ Are available for project travel within Bangladesh;
∎ Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Salary:
∎ Salary and benefits shall be fixed within the existing ARTICLE 19 pay scales and in line with Service Rules.
